Condo Description:

Our 1 BR Silver Creek Unit provides excellent guest accommodations; sleeps two to four people: King in the Bedroom and New Queen Sleeper Sofa in the LR (Memory Foam). This 1BR is beautifully decorated and provides comfort and entertainment for your family, Spring, Summer, Fall and Winter. TV/DVD/VCR/Cable and Roku with Netflex in both the LR and Bedroom, plenty of games & movies. We have two exits from the unit to the balcony (living room and bedroom) where you have a beautiful mountain view, you can see the slopes to the left off the balcony. Our Kitchen has everything you could want i.e. Keurig Coffee Maker, large and small Blenders, Crock Pot a Cuissinart and even spices! We recently added new stainless steel appliances in the Kitchen and a new Maytag washer and dryer. High speed wireless Internet is available in both. Free long-distance calling. Lots of Movies.

LIKE TO SKI? Silver Creek at Snowshoe Mountain boasts: SKI-IN/SKI-OUT, Tubing and Night Skiing. The entire mountain is located at Silver Creek with wider ski trails just outside our Silver Creek doors. Inside you will find:
• at the door Check-in with Key Pad entry, no need to go to the Front Desk Check-In,
• Indoor/Outdoor Heated Pools and Jacuzzis, Sauna, an Exercise Facility;\
• Clothing Shop, Sports Bar, Mini Mart/Coffee Shop, Gift Shop, AND NEW THIS YEAR (GREAT FOR KIDS) THE BIG TOP KIDS CTR HAS MOVED TO SILVER CREEK. It is a smaller version but it will be great for all our Silver Creek guests who have children,

Snowshoe provides free Shuttle Service to and from the Village and all Snowshoe slopes, every 15-20 minutes (call for pick-up in off-season). We have 60 trails. The largest resort this side of New York! Snowshoe not only has the most trails of any Resort this side of New York we also have Tubing, Snowmobiling, Snowcat Tours, The Big Top Entertainment Center, Snowshoeing and Cross Country Skiing.

The summer months on the mountain are a great get-away from the bustle and the heat, as the temperatures rarely reach the 80's. Prepare to be 'blown away' by the sheer majesty and beauty of the West Virginia Mountains. See the stars as you've never seen them before while you relax in the Jacuzzi at the end of another great day at Snowshoe.

Off-Season activities at Snowshoe include: RAVEN--a Gary Player signature 18 hole golf course, rated one of the top mountain courses in the country.
Fishing, a sporting clay range, bike trails, hiking and lake activities are available. Our Adventure Center for the kids and young adults; Euro-bungee, Lake activities, fishing, paddle boats, scenic lift rides, shopping and Restaurants are all part of the village atmosphere at. 'GEO CACHE' IS AN AFTERNOON OF FUN (SCAVENGER HUNT WITH GPS SYSTEM) PACK A PICNIC LUNCH AND FOLLOW THE MAPS. SEGWAY IS A BLAST, WHAT A FUN TOUR, THE BUGGY RIDES ARE A BIG HIT. Just finished redecorating the Living Room and everything looks great!

Fees: the only fee we charge is the HOA's daily parking/amenity fee which pays for the internet (unit wifi & building cell phone - AT&T), pool and parking lot access. We do not charge a unit cleaning fee.

Great Condo

Family Ski Getaway

The accommodation was a nice size with updated furniture, amenities and tub/shower. Our two college-aged kids were comfortable on pull out queen size sofa. The owner gave good directions, parking pass and check-in details. Would recommend this VRBO!!

Cozy condo for one or two skiers

Had a great weekend biking and seeing the sites near Cass and Marlinton WV. I am not a skier, but I can see how with would a great place for a two person ski trip. Don the owner was super accommodating, and had great communication. I would definitely stay here again.

Great time for a quiet and relaxing get-a-way!

We really enjoyed this space Since it was "off season", there were hardly any people around, and we had the hot tub all to ourselves every time we went down to use it. LOVE that the windows had screens in them so we could enjoy that fresh mountain air! We will be back again next year!

December Stay

I am a snowboarding enthusiast and have stayed at many properties and I must say this is one of the best ones I have ever been to. The condo is extremely clean and cozy with great access to the slopes as well as an in unit washer and dryer. Would highly recommend anyone going to snowshoe to consider this property!

Great location for Cass railroad trip. We were here off season, so great daily rate. I appreciated another reviewer recommending to bring our own food since dining options at Snowshoe were very limited. Fully stocked kitchen made food prep easy.

Labor Day stay

Everything was very nice. Beautiful view. Very clean. A few kitchen items could be replaced. We had a great weekend. No internet is something to get used to again.

We liked everything about the condo although the carpet could probably use a good cleaning soon. We had everything we needed. We didn’t use any of the games or movies and there were a lot! We would stay here again. Location was good too for our trip to Cass, WV to ride steam engine train, hiking trails & the Green Bank Observatory.

A place to relax

I stayed in the beginning of June which was the “off season” time frame. But for me, after long days of hiking and horseback riding it was awesome to come back and be able to relax in the living room without a lot of people around. Loved the view out the windows. Perfect shot for a sunrise!! All directions were SPOT ON!!

My wife and I recently had the pleasure of staying in this condo to celebrate her birthday, and it was nothing short of delightful. Quiet, secluded getaway

Although we appreciated being upgraded to a two-bedroom on the top floor - much better views of the unexpected snowfall, it would have been helpful to know that nothing in the hotel or surrounding area was open.....no breakfast, no restaurants. Frozen pizza from the Dollar General and Subway footlongs at the gas station were all we had to eat. The property was very nice, though. Clean, quiet, and comfortable. Our newly remodeled room was very roomy and well-kept.

If you are traveling during off season, BRING FOOD WITH YOU

The room was fine. Clean and nothing out of the ordinary. The issue is not going broke trying to eat. The restaurant downstairs was subpar. People were really nice there but they closed 2 hours early so make sure you check. THIS IS IMPORTANT. Unless you want to spend 60-80 bucks for two people per meal stop and get a cooler and buy food BEFORE you arrive. Nearest Walmart is 1 hour away and you are deep in the mountains. There are no gas stations or anything outside the resort and everything on the resort is ridiculously overpriced. The resort is a little run down since Covid. We got an extra night to ride another day but ended up leaving anyways because it was just too expensive to eat for what you were getting. If they adjusted prices I guarantee they would get a lot more business during the week. As far as the MTB park, the staff was horrible. My wife asked about the veterans discount for lift tickets and the kid just ignored her. Again, the room was fine. The resort needs some work. Don was helpful and attentive. No complaints there at all.

Comfort needs more Attention

Unit is clean, kitchen has enough items to make simple meals and is located in a great building that offers a coffee shop and a great restaurant that has tasty food and drinks. The pool and hot tubs offering with the slopes being steps away are unbeatable conveniences, and amenities. Back to the condo. Using the code to enter was simple, but when we got in the unit, it was about 200. We discovered the heat was coming from the oven and so we suspect the cleaners used the 500 heat function on the oven to clean it and turned it off JUST before we walked in. As a host myself I could say this unit would be 5 stars if the bed and sheets didn’t feel like they came from the dollar store. The mattress needs to be replaced and the sheets were the roughest, most rigid and uncomfortable that I’ve actually ever felt. We were here in the winter so it was really bizarre to me that the unit stayed SO HOT constantly. The wall heaters were NOT on and to ensure that they were not turning on on their own, we flipped the breaker to them. We opened windows in the effort to cool the place down, but you can’t keep them open when you sleep because this unit faces the parking lot that is busy all night with people, cars, and buses so its noisy. We turned the bedroom fan on but had to instantly turn it off because it is also insanely loud. If these items were fixed, I would absolutely rent again, but because these situations added so much uncomfort, I would likely rent a different place next time.

The condo itself was comfortable and had absolutely everything we needed. We had a couple of questions on arrival and were able to reach the owner via Vrbo. He responded immediately and answered our questions. It was clean and nice. The only negative would be that the tub was extremely slippery! Needs a bath mat of some kind. It was convenient to our trip over to the Cass Scenic Railway. The restaurant in the building had a really good hamburger. Not many other dining options. We would stay there again.

Great stay at Silvercreek!

The owner had to move us to a different condo he owned due to matters beyond his control. The condo, 2406, had everything that we needed plus more. It was spacious and very clean. Everything seemed updated. We recommend this condo and owner, Don.
