"Room was very clean. One of the mugs had a big chip in it and needed replacing. The lamp next to one of the beds didn't work. No power points next to the beds which was annoying. The heat pump was great, kept the room at a comfortable temperature. Was never too hot or too cold throughout the night. Paid for parking but was never told how to make the boom gate go up so couldn't get in and had to run back into reception to ask how. Either needs to be explained better on check in or better signage of how to get into car park. Both guests couldn't work out how to lock the bathroom door, very complicated. Unsure if it was broken? All in all, was a good stay and would stay again. Great location in the city, short walk to lots of eateries and even a Woolworths. Close to the Odeon Theatre."

"I've worked for the travel lodge in Newcastlle.The state of my shower was terrible. There is mould all around the shower doors.The toilet was dirty around the outside of the bowl.My TV stopped working lm my last nite."

Doubletree By Hilton Hobart

"I travel to Hobart once a year and have stayed at numerous hotels surrounding the CBD. I can honestly say that Hilton’s Double Tree has by far been head and shoulders above any other Hotel. To compare it, I would place Double Tree at the same level as Meriton Suites’ World Tower in Sydney (minus the view) The reception desk was staffed at all times by a minimum of two people. Their manner was extremely pleasant and professional. Checkout was late by default (huge help) They offered complimentary charging for EV cars. The breakfast buffet was extremely varied. I’ve stayed at the Hilton in Los Angeles and honestly Hobart’s was better. The cleaners were very efficient and rooms cleaned often. The pool was well maintained, open towel rack, complete with Gym and sauna. Ordering not only onsite toilets and change rooms but its own lift. All in all, Double tree was excellent start to finish and clearly well thought out during the design phase. It has the quality of a major mainland hotel nestled in southern Tasmania. 100% recommended"

"My only complaint is that breakfast ends at 10am. No further complaints, the staff were friendly, helpful and kind. I enjoyed the recommendations given by reception when we were looking for restaurants in the area. Soo close to Salamanca Markets without being able to hear any noise or music from the market. Even while staying in the mountain view room!"

"Pros - Excellent amenities: comfortable bed, kitchenette (mini fridge, stove, kettle), and laundry (washing machine and dryer) - Free parking next to the hotel - Very good price quality ratio, especially if you stay multiple nights - Late check-in cutoff time for Tasmania (9pm) Cons - Location is a 15-minute walk from Hobart CBD; limited dining options nearby - Laundry is on the expensive side: AUD6 each for a wash cycle and a drying cycle - Parking gets sparse if you arrive late in the evening"

"Harbour view room was nice, very clean. Friendly Reception staff and Birdcage bar staff. We found Longhorn Restaurant to be a little pricey"

"Check in is always 5 star! Super friendly and helpful. Pool is lovely as is the sauna. Rooms are large and spacious. Bed is super comfy and a massive range of pillows. Always enjoy staying here!"
