Rest and relaxation

I love antiques and old fashioned stuff and I have always dreamed of living in a farmhouse. I absolutely love the house and the decor is Great! Our stay there was absolutely awesome!! It was truly a get away to remember!

Peaceful escape from the city

Wendy's Farmhouse was the perfect place for me and my husband to escape the city for a week. After a challenging year, it was wonderful to completely unplug, enjoy the trees and green grass with our dogs, and meet some very sweet ponies and horses. It was exactly as advertised and felt like a warm hug from family members I did not know I had. We look forward to visiting again.

even better than expected

My family visited for a weekend and Wendy could not have been better or more accommodating. The Farmhouse is even better than advertsied! We loved the animals, especially the horses, and interacting with them was so much fun. Notre Dame's campus is very close if that is part of your plans. Cannot say enough about Wendy and how great she was before, during and after our stay. Cannot wait to go back again!

Quaint and lovely

What a breath of fresh air! Great place to unplug and relax. Our teenagers loved the animals on the property along with getting to be outdoors with plenty of room to practice their lacrosse skills. The owner Wendy and her family were warm and hospitable going out of their way to make sure we didn't need anything.The property is only about 10-15 minutes from both the University of Notre Dame and St Marys College. Thank you Wendy, looking forward to staying again in the future.

Great accommodations for groups or family!

We stayed at the Farmhouse for a ladies getaway. The Farmhouse was perfect for our stay. The house was centrally located for the activities we were doing in South Bend/Mishawaka but still felt like you were out in the country. The sleeping arrangements are great for large groups, bedrooms are on all levels so if people went to bed early they wouldn't be disturbed. The kitchen had all of the amenities we needed (plates, serving dishes, all utensils, and most importantly a huge coffee maker!) and even had a water cooler. We enjoyed seeing the farmhouse residents (ponies and a very friendly kitty) the next morning. I would HIGHLY recommend the Farmhouse for anyone looking for all the luxuries of home while traveling to South Bend. Wendy is a wonderful host making sure you are set before you arrive and making herself accessible if you need anything during your stay. Thank you for a great experience!

It's a hidden Gem !!!

- Super impressed with Wendy's communication - Super impressed with the inside space...# of people that can be accommodate - We cooked our food, the kitchen was extremely well stocked (utensils etc) full sized fridge, range etc, we used the grill too - The surrounding neighborhood is amazing, we went for walks with lakes etc - The deck was cute, for bfast with views of the farms, umbrella and lots of seating - 2 Dining tables with ample of chairs for seating - We wished we stayed there longer...I'll definitely visit again.

Wedding weekend

This is a very nice quaint beautiful farmhouse with lots of personal touches. If you're a animal lover, this place is for you! Beautiful little ponies and a horse and cute chickens. Wendy is an excellent host! Highly recommend it!!

Very very comfortable!

The hostess, Wendy, was extremely accommodating and made sure we had everything we needed, and she was easy to communicate with. A blizzard and extreme cold came during our stay for Christmas, and she made sure the walks and driveway were plowed each morning so we could get out to be with our family. She even had a whole house generator installed right before our arrival in case there was a power outage! Wendy went above and beyond to make sure we were safe and happy. Even our two little poodles loved it there. We would not hesitate to book her property again and that’s because she is a great hostess! Thank you for making sure we had one of the best family Christmas vacations ever Wendy! Happy New Year!

Fall Cozy Charm

We loved this property. The owner had added fall decorations that were just the right touch. Everything was comfortable and saying good morning to the horse and ponies each day was perfect!

A step back in time.

We loved it. Quiet, relaxing and a lot of memories of our childhoods at Grandma’s farmhouse. Very convenient to Jr Irish Fields for lacrosse or soccer!

Lovely Farmhouse Atmosphere

We took a step back in time when we walked into The Farmhouse. Our dogs loved being part of a little farm with the miniature horses and cats. We told our family in Michigan and Indiana that they need to stay at the Farmhouse. It's relaxing and the deck is amazing. It's secluded, yet close enough to South Bend to enjoy the town.

Wonderful!

This property was just wonderful to stay. It was clean, very comfortable, and homey. Wendy was very quick to respond and friendly. This is my new favorite place to stay when in south Bend.

Very pleasant farm just as advertised

This was a neat and tidy farmhouse just as advertised. Everything worked well and the house was neat and clean. The horses and ponies were present as were three cats. It is very convenient to South Bend as well as southern Michigan. In our opinion, it is best for small groups (4 or less) because there is one bathroom. We would definitely stay again.

We were visiting our relatives on Eagle lake so spent much time with them but Wendy was great about

Everything was great! The heat outside was uncomfortable but the air conditioning in the house was a wonderful rest after the lake time. We cooked for the lake crew Friday night and found everything we needed. The Farmhouses is well supplied; our biggest problem was keeping our stuff separate from the decorations and stuff of the house!! Just kidding; we loved the farm details and the horses were a hit! Hope to return!
