    South West Rocks is situated only a short drive off the Pacific Highway between Coffs Harbour and Port Macquarie. South West Rocks is a beautiful seaside holiday village that is home to the best beaches and scenic views on the Mid North Coast of New South Wales.

    The crystal clear waters of Trial Bay or Horseshoe Bay, are ideal swimming for the family with small children. For the more experienced surfers the beaches to visit include Smoky Cape Beach, The Gap and Little Bay.

    If you are feeling energetic you can hire catamarans, windsurfers, surf skis, stand-up paddle boards, pushbikes, diving equipment, small fishing boats or hire a fishing charter to go deep sea fishing.

    If you would like to just relax, you can lay on one of our beautiful beaches or you can fish the banks of the Macleay River or any of our pristine beaches, as South West Rocks is renowned as one of the best fishing spots on the east coast.
    The historic Trial Bay Gaol, Smoky Cape Lighthouse, and the walking trails through the Arakoon State Recreation Park are just a few of the natural attractions on offer. Explore the Rocky headlands, unspoiled beaches or just sit back and enjoy spectacular scenery around you.

    Our sub-tropical climate has mild winters and moderate summers, offering crystal clear waters in which to swim, making South West Rocks a beautiful holiday destination all year round.

    Most of our accommodation is centrally located to the town centre, beaches, restaurants and facilities.

Perfect location, lacking some basics

Loved the location and views from this apartment. It just needed a few basic items to make the stay easier. E.g only 1/4 roll of toilet paper left for a 3 night stay, no detergent for dishes or hand soap, no tissues, very ordinary mattress on bed... A few simple touches would make this a great holiday stay.

The balcony and view were beautiful. The bed had broken slats, the curtains were filthy, there was no reverse-cycle aircon. The medicine cabinet in bathroom was plastic. There was a section of wall decaying from mold in the second bedroom. The furniture was uncomfortable and looked like it came from an op shop. No linen, no hairdryer, no coffee or tea-making - which they did make known, but as it is called a serviced apartment I don't expect to have to hire linen separately and make my bed after a long drive. If I went to a serviced apartment in any city, it would provided all these things. No instructions on how to turn on the tv. Had to be out by 9am in the morning - after stripping the bed, taking out the garbage and loading the car down two flights of stairs to the car park. The apartment was advertised as luxury! It was anything but. The leasing agent was unaware of the problems - which I believe they should have been - they did refund me a portion of my accommodation cost.

Great view let down by apartment

The location and views are fantastic which is the only reason for the 3 stars. The unit itself is not particularly pleasant. Have stayed here a few times over the years and it's getting worse every year. Other apartments in the building have at least been refreshed a bit with new furnishings. Everything in Unit 7 is old, dirty and just generally unpleasant. Would not stay here again in its current state.

Overall we were very happy with our stay, but we felt that the unit could have been cleaner, needs refurbishment and should at least provide washing up liquid, dishcloth and tea towels.
