"Get a room with a view and you will not be disappointed. The Captain's Choice is a comfortable stay in Haines with a fridge and coffee maker in the room, free breakfast and a free shuttle to and from the ferry terminal. They also rent cars so inquire about that if you're staying at the hotel already."

"Room was fine! The only complaint I have is occasionally the hall and the rooms smelled like marijuana which was really repulsive. There were multiple night we stayed elsewhere because the smell was so bad. The room was fairly clean and did its job when we did stay there. I highly encourage the property to do something about the marijuana being smoked in and near the hotel."

"This property was just as described and a pleasure to stay at even with the restaurant right next door. There were a few water pressure problems when there was consumption in other areas of the building but minor. The TV in our suite did not have the proper control so we had no volume control. Miki changed out the Roku with a Fire stick and luckily we had experience operating it. The only other issue we had was with the toaster which we had to hold down full time until the toast was done. All in all all a great place to stay."
