In July our family of six had the opportunity to vacation in the Crows Nest Villa at Peter Island. The Hospitality and kindness we received was truly World Class. The breathtaking views from each room of our home seemed to be out of a movie.
Special high marks to Aaron our Villa Manager who made sure everything was perfect and also to Sampson our Butler who never stopped smiling and Katie our personal Chef. None of us had experienced anything like this before, every meal was a highlight.
If you are looking to celebrate a special family event, in a world class setting I cannot imagine topping what our family experienced in the British Virgin Islands at Peter Island for one very special week. It was well worth the expense.
The gym is very outadated, there was not enough food choices, everything is shut down by 10:30pm, and not enough activities. Beautiful place, a little expensive for what you get.
You get the perfect vacation experience as soon as your feet hit the ferry that takes you to the island. Mate Bertie was very pleasant and helpful when getting your bearings around the BVI. When we arrived, Collin was most welcoming and was excellent at making you feel like you're on vacation. Throughout our stay, Julisa was on top of her game, naturally friendly and hospitable. Bertie, Collin, and Julisa are the 3 pillars of that place. The bartenders are cool too!!
VIP customer service throughout our stay. Beautifully landscaped grounds and beaches. Lots to do on the island. Staff is friendly and ready to take care of every need. Excursions were pricey, we found cheaper through ferry services of other islands.
Beautiful place, great for relaxing . The hotel staff ( bars, restaurant and shuttle drivers) needs to be more nice and customer oriented. Check-in personal were great.
Really a nice hotel with great views and one of the best beaches I have personally stayed by. Everything was clean and the rooms were nice. There is only one restaurant open at a time and breakfast closes at 10:30 and the lunch place is open at 12:30 so you need to do some planning. Food was really good though. I would come back at some point.
Peter Island is a gem and a great place to recharge batteries. For those in need of retail therapy, Tortola is a short boat ride away. One gets gourmet dining as well. We had Thanksgiving dinner, which was a delicious buffet. Breakfast is a "cannot miss". Service with a smile is provided at the resort.
The hotel representative who greeted us was kind and helpful. We had a rocky ride over and they had drinks with ginger in it to help with nausea which I appreciated. The room was very spacious. All of the staff was very friendly. I didn't realize you needed a reservation for the honeymoon beach and white bay beaches and when I called they were "booked" but after talking with the manager, they let us go from 10-12:15 until the next reservation, so book your hut early. There are only 6 huts on white bay and 1 on honeymoon. Deadmans beach is first come, first serve and just as beautiful.. The other two are more secluded and a nice experience. Definitely do the sunset loop and have champaigne or wine and watch the sunset. There are drivers that take you everywhere. The spa was lovely and the pool and view from the spa is fabulous! Overall, very pleased!

Liked: Cleanliness, room comfort
Maybe a 4 star
Two restaurants but only one available most of the week (two days they have a buffet type in grill type setting near the beach). Too expensive for what is available and the overall infrastructure require an update. The facilities and service was OK but not for a 4 or 5 star hotel. Meal just good. Small pool. No TV in room which wouldn't be so bad if there was other options (other to take a walk along the beach). In total I would say that is a 4 star hotel but for the price I even degrade to a 3 star. I don't recommend it.
After the first day, we fell in love with the island. The beaches and spa are as good as it gets. Private beach with picnics brought to you, sunset views with champagne, world class spa in spectacular setting...excellent food. This is an unofficial club with returners who know the set up. We didn't and no-one told us - so it was several days before we discovered how it worked. Likewise, if you build rapport with the staff they are brilliant. You don't spend time in your rooms, so maybe it doesn't matter that they are disappointing. This is about a private get away of extraordinary beauty. We would return.
My husband and I went to Peter Island for our 40th wedding anniversary staying in a beachfront suite. The accommodation was very comfortable although the air conditioning broke down three times, but they were very quick to fix it.
We also booked the Full American Plan (FAP) and the Beverage Plan. This proved to be a good decision as individual meal & drinks prices were very expensive. However the food was fabulous and we never had a mediocre meal the whole two weeks we were there.
Also I can't walk too well so they provided a personal pick up and drop off wherever you wanted to go on the Island. A few people availed themselves of this service which was free of charge.
Overall we would highly recommend Peter Island where you can do as much or as little as you please with top notch service.
This boutique type Caribbean Resort is one of the best places we have stayed at in the Caribbean. I would rate it with Blue Waters in Antigua and Buccaneer in St. Croix as our top three. Fantastic location. Quiet and relaxing. A day on White Bay is very special and watchi9ng the Caribbean sunset with the BVI islands and St. John as the beackdrop quite moving. The staff is friendly and full commited to the guests enjoyment.
This was our first time staying on Peter Island and thought it was extremely beautiful. The main beach takes on alot of wind daily so the water is never really that calm so we were a bit discouraged about that. The spa is phenomenal. Each night there is only one dining option and the times are very limited so keep that in mind because if your hungry when they're not serving there is no place to grab a snack. We were glad we only stayed three nights as we found ourselves a little bored. Service was incredible which is not usually found in the Virgin Islands. Overall a very nice spot to relax!
VERY PEACEFUL AND RELAXING. FOOD A BIT PRICEY.SHOULD CATER MORE FOR VEGANS AND DIABETICS. WASTE OF COCONUTS ON TREES.SELL ICED COCONUT WATER OR USE AS CHASER.
I would recommend Peter Island Resort and Spa without hesitation. We had a wonderful experience in all, the setting, beach, resort, food and beverage, spa, special activities and the entire staff.
The perfect resort & spa with beautiful views, excellent beaches, wonderful cuisine and exceptional hospitality! First class experience and highly recommend. Enjoyed the massage overlooking the beach, private dinner, Vitner's dinner, private cabana, & all day motor boat excursion & met some very nice people.
We stayed at Peter Island for the tail end of our 2 week trip. The island is beautiful and the grounds are very nice. The hotel staff is extremely accommodating but they screwed up things a few times. Not a big deal, but it did create a few issues. Food was good but not great and a little overpriced. Breakfast was good and so was lunch. Dinner was OK but very expensive. We are biased as we travel frequently for work in Philly and NYC which have the best restaurants around....we're spoiled. Overall it is a great place to stay and be completely taken care....and relax. We are 50/50 on going back but if we were an older couple we would definitely go back.
This was the perfect location to get away from it all. We were able to relax with a good book on the beach which was beautiful. There were plenty of lounge chairs spread out to give privacy if you desired. We were able to snorkel right from Deadman's beach; stay to the left along the rocks for the best snorkeling. We also spent 3 different days at White Bay beach, gorgeous! Beautiful with just 6 "shelters" on the entire beach. Each shelter had 2 lounge chairs, 2 chairs and a table. There was drinking water, a fresh water shower and bathroom facilitates that were kept clean and nice. The snorkeling from the beach was great, but once again the best was along each end along the rocks. We saw rays, reef squid, eels, turtles and hundreds of juvenile fish among the colorful coral. The water was clear, warm and calm. The staff was so friendly and eager to make your stay the best it could be. The excursions were also good, although the sailing trip to The Baths were too rough and churned up to snorkel when we went so the captain took us to Cooper Island to snorkel after we'd seen the Baths, it gave us the best of both worlds. Also enjoyed the quick 2 hour snorkel trips to the Caves and the Islands, both locations I'd go see again as the snorkeling was fabulous. Overall a great vacation spot that I'd highly recommend. However, realize this is not for those who love the nightlife, stay on Tortola if that's what you want.
