Escape to an Old Florida getaway on the Weeki Wachee River without leaving comfort behind. Situated on the main river—not on a canal—across from the Weeki Wachee Preserve, this beautifully decorated, picturesque 2/2 private cabin is the perfect place to unwind and experience nature at its best.
Relax on the cabin’s well-lit, fan-cooled 12’x24’ riverfront porch, watch the manatees that frequent the property’s two large docks, fish off the docks, or venture into the water in one of the cabin’s kayaks to explore this hidden paradise.
Inside the cabin, cathedral ceilings create an open, airy space. The living area is perfect for TV or family time, and the fully equipped kitchen includes everything needed to create and enjoy a full meal: a flat-top range, over-range microwave, roomy refrigerator, ice maker, dishwasher, disposal, toaster, coffee maker, dishes, and cooking utensils. The dining room table seats six.
In the evening, the master bedroom’s queen-sized bed and the second bedroom’s two twin beds invite guests to a peaceful night’s sleep without city lights and noise. The property’s two bathrooms include showers and a large, full-size soaking tub.
The cabin is loaded with modern-day comforts including WiFi throughout the house and Spectrum cable. A washer and dryer are provided, and the property is wheelchair accessible. We are sorry that we cannot accept pets of any kind.

Awesome Nature Getaway!!

If you love nature, this is the place to stay. The cabin has everything you need. You can kayak every day, swim or just enjoy the views. Our family has a wonderful time!!

Great location!

We enjoyed our stay overall! The location was fantastic and made it easy to explore the area. The house itself was clean and matched the listing, and we had a lot of fun during our trip.That said, there were a couple of things that took away from the experience. There was loud construction happening right next door starting early in the morning, which we weren’t informed about in advance. The issue absolutely did not ruin our stay, but they’re worth noting for future guests.

Perfect beach spot

Rented for the location since its by the river while it has a nice beach spot. Property manager was very responsive and accomodating. Updated and great space for a family.

Very cute and clean place right off the river this was the most amazing vacation I definitely give this place a 5🌟the vanities came right up to the dock while we were staying here I most definitely recommend this place very easy to get to and to figure out how everything works me and my daughter loved it and will definitely be coming back thank you for the wonderful stay

Fantastic wild life and a cozy and clean cabin.

A nice and clean cabin located at the crystal clear Weeki Wachee river. The owner, William, even called us on the first day, to make sure everything was ok. We enjoyed the river from the docks and from the canoe. A lovely place!

A perfect stay on the best part of the Weeki Wachee

We had stayed here many times before under the previous Owner. Erika has done many upgrades that have made the cabin much more comfortable. My favorite part is still the classic Grumman canoe and the best part of the rive to start paddling from. The cabin had everything we needed and there were no issues. A perfect stay.

Excellent Stay

Great house right on the river for a family of four. During our stay we saw plenty of Manatees and even a dolphin cruising the river. We used the Kayaks every day and enjoyed access to the middle of the river around sunset when most boat traffic empty’s out. It’s a really good location as houses further up the river are deeper water and makes it tough just to hang out. As far as the house, 1 king bed and two singles. Each room has Smart TV with cable. Erica was also a fantastic host with great communication. We are already talking about rebooking here in Nov. Thanks Erica!

Perfection

We usually rent the orange house next door but decided to try this gem out. Don't let the exterior deceive you. This house is perfect. After we cleared a path in the water from the dock the kids didn't mind the murky bottom around the deck. The house was perfect for our family. The kitchen was fully stocked. Canoe and kayaks were great for trips up and down the river. Hot water was hot and the trip was too short once again. We will definitely be back.

A perfect week at this cozy little cabin on the river.

This was our second visit to the cabin and I don't expect it will be the last. Everything went fine and this year the river had Manatees almost constantly. It never gets old really. Being able to paddle up to the spring in the afternoon means you miss all the rental boats coming back and you have the river all to yourself. PERFECT! I look forward to our next stay. This owner really cares and gives a check in call to make sure everything is right. We appreciate the extra effort. Thanks

Best Vacation We Ever Had!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

My husband, children and I stayed at the river house for a long weekend. Within 5 minutes of being at the house I was in love with everything. The house was clean and offered every amenity you could want from a river house. My goal was to spend as much time outside with my kids as possible. We fished, we canoed, we swam, jumped off of trees and grill out in the back yard. When we woke up Sunday morning 3 manatees greeted us right off the dock. It was an amazing and breath taking experience. We have decided to make this an annual family tradition. We had the most amazing experience at the river house. We have recommended the experience to everyone we know.

Amazing

Our stay at your river front cabin was wonderful. Really clean and comfortable for our family. There are a few things that need some improvement but they are minor. The vacuum needs replacing, it smells really bad and leaves a terrible odor in the cabin during and for hours after using. The grass carpets are beautiful but super rough on bare feet, and the stones around the kayaks are so sharp almost like stepping on legos, no one wore shoes during our stay. The yellow kayaks were perfect for my 9 year old but they did fill up with water fairly quickly, but she loved them! And your outside water hose needs replacing. All minor things. We swam in the beautiful cool clear water everyday. The tide was low enough sometimes that we played badminton and frisbee in the river. There were manatees swimming by everyday. We rented a John boat from the local marina and puttered along with hundreds of other people on the water. Interesting and scary at times. Our family thoroughly enjoyed your cabin on the water. And we will return.

This Retreat...What a Treat!

I call the cabin a retreat because of the seclusion of the area coupled with the quiet serenity of the surroundings. This cabin is located at the end of the last populated road, so within a few strokes of the canoe paddle, there's nothing but river and wildlife sanctuary. If you're planning your first trip to Weeki Wachee, being "right on the river" is huge, compared to being on a canal. There is no comparison. At end end of this cabin's 2 docks, you can see the blue crabs feeding on the sandy bottom, no matter the depth of the year-round 72 degree spring water. The canals are murky green waterways that must be traversed in order to GET to the river. The cabin itself is nicely furnished with all the comforts of home, including Wifi, big screen t.v., a plethora of plush towels in the bathroom (no towel rationing needed) and a chillin' central AC (no window shakers here)! Everything was spotless, right down to the gas grill we used to cook our dinners at night. To top it off, the owners were downright neighborly, calling the day we arrived to make sure we got there safely and the day we left to see if everything met up to our expectations. I would highly recommend this cabin for anyone that needs to get away from it all for a few days. Although my husband and I left our adult children at home and enjoyed having the whole place to ourselves, it would be an ideal place to bring the whole family. (Forgot to mention the huge fenced front yard, which might come in handy for ball games or just corralling toddlers.) One day while we were sunning ourselves on the docks watching the tubers, kayaks, and canoes go by, a paddle boarder pointed to the Rustic River Cabin behind us and exclaimed, "I'm staying there in August! Can't wait!" Indeed. I wish I could go back right now.

Perfect birthday weekend

Cute and quaint cabin on the river. Saw manatees immediately upon arrival. The cabin was perfect for myself and partner from the river access to everything we needed to cook all of our meals. The provided kayaks and canoe were also very convenient.

Annual Family vacation

We really enjoyed our stay this year just as much as we did two years ago! Our kiddos enjoyed swimming right off the dock, watching the manatees and dolphins swim by daily, kayaking with onsite kayaks, and sitting on the dock most days just relaxing. The house is super cute, clean, and cozy and the added bathroom was a lifesaver with four people in tow! We look forward to future summer visits

Don't let those cedar boards fool you! The interior is immaculate and spotless! Perfect spot on the river. We brought our neighbors from Texas and we all had so much fun enjoying the beautiful river!

Relaxing manatee zone

We went with our 11 year old daughter and the location was perfect. Had manatees right up at the dock, accommodations were clean, and relaxing. We brought our boat and it was a little tough with the tidal changes but we made it work. The canoe provided was the better was to explore and we added our trolling motor. Overall, amazing trip and would recommend the place.

Rental on Main River

Cute little house on Main river of the Weeki Wachee. Very clean, convenient for my needs and will definitely be returning. Very pleasant experience with the host.
