Great location for a traditional family holiday
We had a fantastic time in this large lodge enabling the children to have their own space to themselves plus a safe space in which to wander. The inflatable game on the lake plus the surfing were fantastic for the older children. The location for the site is also great being in easy reach of Newquay, Padstow and numerous great beaches.

Fantastic property
We had a fantastic stay, location is perfect, everything clean and tidy. Only downside is that swimming pool is quite small and not very exciting for youngsters.

Fab holiday!
We had an amazing holiday at the lodge!
We took my sister's 17 month old daughter and she had the best time!
The play house upstairs was her favourite! The weather was also good enough for her to be running around outside.
We all loved the swimming pool on site aswell!
As for the rest of us we all had a very relaxing break, family friends visited and were so impressed that they too are interested in having a holiday at the resort too!
We have had many holidays in this country and stayed in many lodges all over the UK but this was by far the best. Three bedrooms with their own bathrooms, two huge lounge areas, hot tub, all spotlessly clean and tastefully decorated. Huge soft white towels provided and everything you could possibly need in the lodge ie fully equipped kitchen, vast amount of toys for little ones along with playhouse inside and out! Bar and restaurant on site, gets very busy so book beforehand and indoor pool, all spotless and well managed. Over all a five star holiday*****

A second stay
We enjoyed last year so much, that we booked again this year. We noticed that the house has had work and maintenance done on it over the year and so the condition remained excellent.
All the additional things for keeping a toddler occupied and safe (bath toys, high chair, potty, bed guard, stair gates, plastic utensils and the list goes on....) alongside a really comfortable, clean and spacious home from home are the reasons we will book again!

A beautiful spacious family orientated holiday lodge definitely feel comfy and cosy
Me my partner and our 4 children stayed at this lodge for 7 nights and it was a beautiful lodge very comfortable and nice and cosy it was also really lovely to see how family orientated the owners are and how they have accomadated for familys with children of all ages.. The upstairs frontroom with the playhouse in is a really good and lovely idea and it is really cute our 6 year old twins absolutely loved it and it was so nice to stay somewhere where there was something for them to do so me and my partner could still relax and enjoy our holiday too.. We stay at the retallack resort and spa every year because it is perfect for us as a family and all of us enjoy it there but this lodge was definitely more family friendly and a lot more spacious than the one we stayed in last year we would like to try and book this one every time we go as like I said it is the perfect lodge for us as a family.. Also all the little pictures and ornaments and quotations are just really cutr and a lovely touch it really was a lovely lovely lodge to stay in and we had a lovely time and like I said we would love to stay there again.

Disappointed
Beautiful home with lots to offer but sadly
Lots was broken and the place was very dirty
We had a number to call if we had any issues
But the person didn’t answer and would call back hours later.
We didn’t have any oven gloves or grill tray when we arrived in the Saturday
And we didn’t receive any till Monday afternoon.
Hydro bath was broken
Kids baths toys fully of black mould
Dining Chairs aren’t fit for use anymore we had to put cushions on them
Main wardrobe is used for storage
We have reported all the problems we had but sadly haven’t heard anything about what’s being done yet.
Resort had lots to offer and was beautiful location and booking directly through them would prob be better as they have people on site 24/7 for call outs if you have any issues
But can’t help private rented homes
This lodge is amazing. It is so spacious and very clean. Lovely views from the back decking. The hot tub is a bonus. The lodge is very child friendly and has everything you could possibly need when travelling with young children. Our two young family members (ages 5 and 18months) particularly enjoyed the upstairs playroom. Also, plenty of activities available on the site (pool, sauna etc). Communication with the hosts was excellent. Questions were answered without delay. Overall, I would highly recommend this lodge, we all thoroughly enjoyed our stay.
We had two very young children 15 months and 9 weeks old. The layout of the property was perfect for them. Due to covid restrictions they had been cooped up for all their lives. To see the eldest one toddling around, playing with all the toys, with a constant smile on his face was priceless. The two sitting rooms were ideal for respite from a 9 week old, giving the new parents room to spread out, chill and relax. The weather was not so great, but for us it was just the break we all needed. Fabulous family friendly property.

Retallack Resort & Spa
Nine family members stayed for a week at the Resort and pretty much everything was wonderful. The lodge we stayed in was better than we thought it could be with facilities to cater for young and older alike. Two large lounges, more televisions than we knew what to do with, toys and games provided, large hot tub, the list goes on and on. We had en suite facilities to the two upstairs bedrooms and downstairs there were two bedrooms served by their own bathroom, all of which was in its own separate area off the downstairs lounge. Add all of the above to a spectacular site in a superb area of the U.K. with utterly fantastic weather we could not have asked for more.
I suggested that pretty much everything was wonderful and the only drawback we could found was nothing to do with the lodge but more Resort oriented. It may be the norm for Cornwall but we did find drinks in the Resort bar were pricier than we are used to.
