Tropical treehouse

Peaceful cottage in Coral bay. The house is very cozy with a lovely screened porch and a nice view. Extra bonus is filtered water and A/C. My only “complaint” is the location is up a paved steep road and driveway. But we would stay again!

A Gem in Paradise

The aptly named tropical treehouse was the perfect stay for our island getaway. It boasts a beautiful view of Coral Bay, has an amazing wrap-around screened in porch so you can soak in said view and keep the bugs at bay. The amenities inside were all perfectly suited for our needs - making meals either before we set out on an adventure for the day or when we returned. The bed was comfortable. There was a deck of cards and a puzzle for us to do while it was heavily raining outside. The east end of the island is definitely quieter, but has loads of really good food spots, and beaches. The only things I will point out about this spot: - The ladder up/down from the loft/sleeping area can be a bit sketchy, especially at night or after a few cocktails. - As can the stairs up/down to the house itself. In fact, it rained quite a bit while we were here, and the stairs became extremely slick. My partner did fall down them, but fortunately caught himself before falling too far. So, if stairs are not your thing, this may not be the spot for you. - You will want to rent a 4W drive vehicle. The island is not very walk-able as a whole, but especially here, you are staying on the side of the mountain, and even though all the roads are paved, they call still be slick, especially if it rains. All that being said, we would definitely stay here again. Between the location, the communication from the host/greeters, we had an absolutely lovely experience. I highly recommend it!

Tropical Treehouse

Tropical Treehouse was just what we were looking for. Remote, quiet and peaceful. Megan was great in responding to any questions right away. Would definitely stay again!

This is a lovely cottage! Spent 17 days here and would do it again.

The property is exactly as it appears in the photos. One must be able to climb the sixty some stairs but once you've done that you will adore this villa!

Our 4th Stay at the Tropical Treehouse

Returning to the Tropical Treehouse always feels like our home away from home. Total privacy & seclusion are the reward for the 68 step trek to and from the cottage. We just love it!

Beautiful place

Amazing views from porch. The stairs are a bit of a workout but well worth it. The house had all the amenities that you would need. There are beach chairs, a cooler and beach umbrella. Will definitely want to come again.

First time to St. John!

This was a special trip for my husband and I! First trip without kids in MANY years and first time to St. John! What an adventure. The Tropical Tree house was perfect and Jake was very helpful and quick to respond.

Wonderful stay!

My husband, young son, and I had a wonderful stay at the Tropical Tree House during our recent trip to St. John! We loved being on the Coral Bay side as it felt more secluded and less touristy than the Cruz Bay area, but still with lot's to do! The Tree House was the perfect size for us and provided a great feel of seclusion with a gorgeous view from the screened in porch. It was also a huge plus to have a washer and dryer as it allowed us to pack lightly! We loved our visit and can't wait to go back!

Charming, quiet and accommodating

This cottage was perfect and Sue was very accommodating! It was a great, comfortable retreat after long days of swimming, snorkeling and hiking. We loved lying in the hammock and enjoying the sounds of the St. John evenings from the screened in porch. The cottage looked exactly like the pictures, including the cleanliness. We will absolutely be back!

Secluded, excellent view

Very private getaway ideal for an adventurous couple who are looking to be off the beaten path. Fantastic view, working kitchen, outdoor grill, screened in wraparound porch, great for DIYers. We had a great time and we felt very refreshed. Must be ok with stairs/ladder

One week stay in more quiet Coral Bay

Overall, great private place with great view. Very airy. Steps to cottage accurately described. Very good considerate host. Internet is good but occasional outages might make working remote an issue.

Secluded

Amazing place! Even the people that stayed in the house that you share a parking pad with didn’t know where our place was. Well worth the steps and the drive. It is so wonderful to have filtered water and all the other amenities! We went to 11 different beaches, lookouts, and hikes and everyone of them was beautiful and amazing .

One of the best trips we have ever taken.

Jake and Sarah were the best hosts we’ve ever had. They checked in with us before, during and after our trip to make sure we had everything we needed and were comfortable. The treehouse is perfect for a couple looking to get away from it all, and the screen porch/hammock has an unbelievable view of Coral Bay. This was our first trip to St. John, and Jake and Sarah helped make it one of the best trips we’ve ever had.

Perfect!

Tropical Tree house could not be nicer and a great value. It is immaculate and looks better than its picture. The porch is much larger than it looks. It is ideal for a couple and close to restaurants on Coral Bay, my favorite side of St. John. The owners are very helpful. Would definitely return.

Dream stay in St. John!!

This villa was perfectly nestled above Coral Bay. Upon arrival, we were welcomed with a lovely care package! We loved spending mornings drinking coffee on the patio looking over the bay. The bed was very comfortable and all of the amenities were running smoothly and made us feel at home. Will definitely be recommending this spot to friends and family!! Could not have picked a better place to spend our time on the island. Thank you so much Jake and Sarah!

Amazing!

This Treehouse was the perfect place to spend our vacation in Coral Bay! It was cozy, clean, airy, spacious, inspiring, and had all the comforts of home. I can't say enough about it, and we hope to be back again soon! Our hosts were kind and informative, and the property seemed brand new. The stairs might be a little challenging for some guests, but we liked the exercise, and privacy it gave us during our stay. We miss it already!

Great stay at Tropical Treehouse

We so enjoyed our stay at Jake and Sarah's property in beautiful Coral Bay. The unique property was immaculate and very accurately written up. The 68 steps kept us in shape, The views were beautiful. Most of all Jake's responsiveness was so appreciated, it was reassuring knowing that he was available at anytime . We hope to return someday and would not hesitate to make this our vacation home again. Thank you!!!!

Home sweet island home!

We LOVED this place! It was so beautiful and comfortable. All you could ever need. We couldn't get enough of the outside porch, spent most of our time there when we were at the house. The breeze is great. The views are amazing!!! Waking up to that everyday is really something special. Jake and Sarah are great hosts. Comfortable & Cozy in a Great Location!

This house was a great way to spend our Christmas! The place was super clean and roomier than expected. The listing is accurate, you can expect what see, which is not always the case. Our daughter loved reading on the screened in porch in the hammock listening to the birds. The house gets plenty of breeze and the kitchen is welled equipped. We loved the Coral Bay area and the topography around it. The owner was great at communicating and answering any questions about the property. Two thumbs up!!

Perfect view!

This rental was pictured as described (minus the blender). Hills in St John are steep and it was a little scary getting in and out of the parking... But you get used to it. Great location relative to some restaurants and grocery stores in Coral Bay. We preferred Coral bay to Cruz Bay since it was a lot more quiet. Plenty of space for 2 people. Great view. Enjoyed looking out at Coral Bay during our breakfast.

Two Pickles in Paradise

Me and my GF had a wonderful and relaxing vacation stay in the Tropical Tree House. The house is cozy, the bed is extremely comfortable, wifi was strong, the kitchen has everything you need to make a meal if you want to stay in for the night. The screened-in porch is a real bonus, we loved waking up and drinking coffee on the deck, and we loved staying on the Coral Bay side of the island. The only downside to the house would be if you have any mobility issues. The car park is a short by steep stair climb. Outside of that, a perfect retreat.
