"The only thing this place had going for it was the parking. I don't mind old if it has character and it's clean but this place is dismal. There was what appeared to be fecal matter on the door. Our room was right beside the lobby Men's bathroom and the door slammed open and shut. Our view was at the back facing directly into a dumpster. We were supposed to stay 2 nights but left early after our 1st night. Unfortunately there is no recourse because it was prepaid...lesson learned."

"Stayed 2 nights with 2 grown sons in separate private rooms. No private parking. Public metered parking is limited. No elevator and no fire safety exits. Stuffy and bit moldy. Beds were comfortable and bar underneath has great food. I would not recommend. "

"When 1st arrived very tired after 7 hour journey ,key lock box would not open with code,had to phone then leave message,no answer back so left message on web site eventually call back after 25 minutes had to go round to car park to get spare key out of another lock box 45 minutes to get into room Room 4 is small. Needs a better table for tea and coffee area. Bed linen is needing renewed as looking rather grey and tired.Toilet bowl and inside seat needs cleaned better. Bathroom door sticks and difficult to open . Grandson panicked as he couldnt get out. Every time other guest went in or out ,our door rattles and got a few frights when sleeping. View out window onto annex with black plastic wall and wooden struts. I would return here as value for money o.k ,but it does need a bit of care to the fabric of the building. "

"Room was spotless and very comfortable, not huge but had everything we required. Esp surprised with the little bag of goodies for breakfast! Parking was easy at B&B but not so much in town so best to walk. Check in was quick and easy, our host being very helpful and informative."

"Ideal one night stopover for ferry from Oban. On the pier with patking at the railway station. Room is small but had everything we needed. Shops and restaurants nearby."

"This quirky hotel is a gem in Oban. Very comfortable room once we learned how to work shower and heaters. The room was a good size with king bed. Breakfast was hearty and the coffee and brown bread were delicious. Easy to walk to shops and restaurants - we had a friend with a mobility scooter and no troubles in the hotel or town. Really nice place to come visit. Stephanie at front desk super helpful!"
