We completed enjoyed our stay at Ryan Mansion. Mary looked after our every need; she made dinner reservations for us, served a delicious and varied breakfast and entertained us with stories. Our room was incredibly comfortable and supplied all the comforts. The Mansion was well located for a walk to the waterfront although a steep walk home. Haha! Highly recommend. The Mansion is well cared for and beautifully decorated.

This is an exceptionally beautiful boutique hotel that feels rich in history and luxury. Without a doubt, the heart of the Ryan Mansion is Mary, who was welcoming, attentive, and prepared delicious breakfasts each morning. Ryan Mansion is well located, which lent itself to travelling by foot to Water Street, Signal Hill and Quidi Vidi. We would highly reccomend Ryan Mansion and look forward to returning again.

Our stay at the Ryan mansion was truly a delight. The room was spacious, clean and beautifully decorated. The bed was like sleeping on a cloud, the mattress, pillows and covers so very comfortable. The soaker tub was an added bonus. Breakfast was delicious and was an enjoyable way to start the morning in a lovely setting. Mary was a wonderful host who made us feel welcomed. She went above and beyond to ensure our stay was perfect and was incredibly accommodating. Thank you Mary!

The Ryan Mansion was like stepping back in time to the turn of the 20th century. The mansion circa 1911 with rooms on the second and third floors accessible by first a grand staircase then steep climb to the third. The decor and artwork are a feast for one's eye, matching the amazing breakfast creations prepared by Mary. Our room was a large with two beds, three arm chairs and a large modern bathroom with shower and separate soaker tub. Unlike some hotel beds that leave one stiff and tired in the morning, the beds in the Mansion were extremely comfortable and left us rested and ready to tackle our day in St. John's. Our stay was made even more enjoyable by our congenial host Mary. When we visit Newfoundland again, Ryan Mansion will be our first choice of a place to stay.
