When I stay at a budget hotel, I know it is important to manage expectations.
However, there were so many issues with my stay. I will only mention one: repeated power outages at all hours of the night.
Apparently there was electrical work going on, but when a room has no power there is no AC or other amenities. And when the bright emergency light comes on during an outage (which happened several times over several nights) it is impossible to sleep, especially when the power shut off from 2 AM - 6 AM on one night.
Did the hotel staff ever apologize for the inconvience or try to make amends for this problem?
No.
I would have given a lower rating but the hotel has some redeeming qualities. Regrettably, there’s really no point to mentioning them.
