Charming townhouse in the heart of St Remy De Provence

The house provides a comfortable home for up to 4 people any time of the year and gives you a wonderfully convenient base to explore both Provence and beyond.

Villa Nova is an exclusive development of 15 modern town houses and the original 'Belle Epoque' Villa set within its own grounds and only a five minute stroll from the heart of St Remy de Provence. It offers a tranquil and secure setting as a base for your holiday in Provence.

Guests have a dedicated, secure parking space within the grounds and access is by electronic gates or key. You will be greeted by an english speaking resident, of the town, who will have prepared the house for you and be on hand to help with anything you need during your stay.

Bedroom one looks out across the Alpilles and offers you the choice of a king size or 2 single beds. There is a generous amount of storage space and a ceiling fan for the warmer nights.

Bedroom two faces the courtyard and looks out over the original Villa Nova. Again there is a choice of a king size bed or 2 singles. Ample storage space is provided and again a ceiling fan. The bathroom, with large shower, is also on the first floor.

The kitchen, with granite work surfaces, is fully fitted and is well equipped to give you'll need during your stay here.

The salon is styled with your comfort in mind. There is a large sofa to relax on whilst reflecting on your days in Provence. Enjoy your favourite CD or DVD or perhaps catch up on your favourite programme (in english or french).

The terrace leading from the salon is a great space to enjoy the sun. It is completely private and a retractable awning provides welcome shade.

The house is a 5 minute stroll from the heart of St Remy de Provence - a town steeped in history from the Romans through to Van Gogh.

With over 60 cafes, bistros and restaurants you really will be spoilt for choice. For the shoppers amongst you St Remy boasts a large number of individual shops. There is the market on a Wednesday market which meanders its way around the streets and squares offering you all the produce of Provence.

St Remy is ideally situated to explore the surronding countryside. Avignon with its Palais des Papes (UNESCO site) is only 25 minutes away. The Roman towns of Montpellier, Nimes, Arles and Orange are all within an hours drive as is the coast and the Carmarge (Regional Parc Naturel). There is the Luberon with its spectacular vistas and beautiful villages, the Pont du Gard (another UNESCO site), Isle-sur-la-Sorgue, Aix-en-Provence, Fontaine-de-Vauclause and Les Baux des Provence. With all these and many more you can see why people keep coming back!

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Villa Nova. Everything was wonderful. Location was great, the property was very clean. We particularly like that the host provided detailed instructions of all aspects in how to operate things in the house. There's no frustration in needing to find and read any owners manual. We highly recommend a stay there.

Great location to travel around southern France

We have been to the area several times but our usual spot was not available so we picked this location. We were very happy with the choice. Easy walking distance to shops and restaurants in St Remy and the area never disappoints. Julie was a helpful and responsive host.

Beautiful townhouse in easy walking distance to St. Remy. AC in downstairs living room and one upstairs bedroom. Second bedroom does not have AC but doesn't get hit by direct sunlight. 1.5 bathrooms. Complete kitchen with washer/dryer & dishwasher. Small patio that gets pretty hot on hot summer days. TV with Netflix, Prime Video etc.

Fantastic property close to town

The flat is exactly what you see in the pictures. All amenities were provided and it was a short walk to the lovely town of St. Remy. Julie was responsive to all of my questions. We really enjoyed our stay

Charming apartment

Our stay was excellent. Julie provided fine instructions for accessing the house, using all appliances, and leaving. She also had many helpful suggestions for us and checked in to make sure we were well settled. Would love to return.

Amazing Villa in St. Remy town centre

A fabulous property and centrally located with easy access to popular Provencal destinations. The owner is fabulous to work with and always responded in a timely manner. The only minor thing which was not an issue for me was TV service was not available but owner is working on that. Would definitely stay here again:)

Extended stay in St Rémy

Villa nova is a short taxi ride or drive from Avignon TGV. It is easy to make day trips to surrounding towns. Villa nova was an easy walk to restaurants and shops. Julie was a wealth of information and help. The townhouse was sparking clean and well stocked. We were able to extend our stay by a few days to complete a perfect stay in Provence

Great location and the apartment is set up well. The sleeping situation could be improved, as it is two twin beds put together to make a larger bed. Nevertheless, I would recommend this property.

Perfect Base for Provence

This property was perfect! It was in a great location, easy to get to, and a perfect base to explore Provence. I only wish we could have stayed longer. It was well-equipped, comfortable, and everything was easy. Check in was accomplished totally by email communication with Julie, and she was available for our needs. We have stayed in St. Remy four times before over the past 15 years, but this is the place that we will want to come back to.

Villa Nova in St. Remy

My second stay in Villa Nova 11 was just as lovely as the first. Very clean, comfortable, and great amenities. Well-equipped kitchen, beautiful relaxing patio. Especially nice to have soap, laundry detergent, paper towels, t.p. Etc. Already on hand so I did not have to immediately go to shop after traveling all day. Julie is great - so helpful & always available if needed. St. Remy is a lovely little walkable town & great location for exploring Provence.

Love St Remy

We booked this property for convenience of walking into town and secure parking. We are mid-70’s Australians having our last visit to France. The property was fine except for “oldies”, the staircase, whilst walkable, we could not get any luggage upstairs. It was also quite noisy in the patio area between 5pm – 7pm ( traffic ). Again, most people would be out and about more than us. Susan was very helpful with the TV and general information of the area.

Perfect base for eloping Provence

We spent the first two weeks of June at Villa Nova and had a very pleasant stay. The location was perfect, both in that it was centrally located for exploring Provence and, although in a quiet, secure location, within walking distance of the center of town. St. Remy is a beautiful town with lots of cute shops, restaurants and a great market on Wednesday which was just down the street from the house. It was a big advantage having a reserved parking space within a secure, gated community. It was nice to have the terrace for outdoor dining. The kitchen was well equipped, beds were comfortable and the living room was a nice space to relax. Julie was extremely helpful and pleasant and even called to let us know that the bulls would be running in the street in town one particular evening, a fun event we would otherwise have missed. She followed up to make sure we had everything we needed and was always available if we needed anything. We had dinner our last night at l'Aille ou la Cuisse and enjoyed the good food and nice ambiance there. A definite must see is Les Baux, just south of St. Remy. Besides the ancient hillside fortress we were stunned by the Carrieres de Lumieres sound and light show, an experience we will never forget (we actually saw it twice). Overall a great base for our Provence vacation!

Superbe

Nous avons passé de superbes vacances dans cette maison. Les + : - A 5 minutes à pied du centre ville - Des tas de choses à faire à moins d'1h de route - Parking privé et sécurisé - Résidence très calme - Logement très propre à notre arrivée - Le ménage est à la charge du propriétaire - Propriétaire très discrète (nous ne l'avons pas vue mais nous avons pu échanger avec Julie par sms ou mail) - Literies au top - Capsules de café, dosettes pour lave linge et lave vaisselle, produits d'entretien, lave main, shampoing et gel douche à disposition. Le seul truc qui a pu nous manquer ce sont les pinces à linges,une cloche pour le micro-onde :) - Climatisation dans la + grande chambre et dans la pièce de vie (et quand il fait 40 degrés à l'extérieur c'est vraiment très appréciable) - Beaucoup de rangement dans les chambres et salle de bain Les - (Mais vraiment dérisoire pour nous) : - Difficile de manger sur la petite terrasse (un peu bruyante à cause du passage des voitures) - Manque peut-être d'un petit meuble dans la cuisine pour ranger les courses mais il y a une buanderie où il est possible de stocker pas mal de chose En résumé, n'hésitez pas, allez y les yeux fermés, vous ne serez pas déçue !
