The house is full of character and the location is absolutely beautiful, making it a wonderful base for exploring the Cotswolds. We really enjoyed our time here. With some improvements to cleaning, maintenance, and a few comfort details, it could be an exceptional holiday home."

"Luxurious room! We splurged for the nicer room and wow! Wonderful staff, good beer selection. We needed to leave early the next morning so the chef packed us a picnic breakfast with lots of fruit, a blt sandwich, crackers and jams and cookies. Ate it on a hill overlooking a field of sheep and the town below. So memorable!"

"Very old building, yet very charming. Many small sitting areas to read and to relax and they are really very cute. The facilities are very clean and well maintained. The staff are very helpful. A great experience for me. "

"We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Kingfisher Cottage. The property is beautifully presented and well equipped. The owners popped over to welcome us which was lovely. The treats left were very welcome too. The large room at the back has stunning views of the garden and the countryside beyond and was definitely a massive highlight. "We had a fabulous 3 generation stay at The Old Stores over the Easter holidays. There was so much to do around the area that we were kept busy for the week. Lovely downstairs layout with plenty of space for everyone and a couple of perfect days to enjoy the outside space. Pub and shop close by for emergencies and no shortage of equipment in the kitchen. We’ve used Stay Cotswold before and I’m certain we will use them again."

"Great location, lovely old cottage but badly needs some help to make it appropriate for renting in the colder months. The beds and linen were excellent. Upon arrival we tried to log on to the WiFi but quickly discovered the network indicated didn't exist and the password was incorrect for the one that did, made a call and the owner/caretaker came around and logged us onto this network. Later we discovered 2 welcome books both identical in every respect apart from the WiFi network!! We just randomly picked up the wrong one, what a waste of everyone's time when the solution is a 10 second fix! The second issue was the open fire which smoked so badly the first night we had to douse it in water and open all the windows and doors, the draw is so bad I thought the chimney was blocked. I was assured it wasn't and tried again the following night, better but still had to open the windows and doors. Third night was more successful but only because of my past experience with open fires and log burners. Something badly needs to be done to improve the draw (canopy?), fit a cheap log burner, or improve the efficiency of the heating system to render the issue mute. Thirdly the quality and variety of crockery provided in the kitchen was excellent, but the rest of the cooking utensils was very poor with some basics. missing, unforgivably there was no corkscrew!!! Seriously! this is what I mean when I say there just seems a lack of care taken over the whole property."
