This was a beautiful experience from start to finish. The hotel is spectacular with stellar staff that met my every need. The views are gorgeous. Doug at Edgewood restaurant and lounge definitely went the extra mile. The rooms were cozy, just wish there was more storage space. Food and drinks on property were good and fire pit smores were a highlight. 10/10 can’t wait to come back.

The hotel was one of the better places we have ever stayed. The building was spectacular, the grounds and setting were amazing, and the location was great. Our only regret was the experience level of the Front Desk and Valet staff which resulted in several frustrating valet and shuttle service experiences. Otherwise, the Restaurant and cleaning staff were excellent, and the room was great. We would highly recommend this property to other travelers.

Disappointing Service and Subpar Rooms: Not a 4-Star Experience We were shocked by the lack of luxury at Edgewood Tahoe. While the common areas are beautiful, the guest experience and room quality are closer to a 3-star level. The room amenities were significantly outdated (early 2000s decor) and lacked basic comfort. Our mattress was lumpy and the towels were incredibly rough—comparable to sandpaper. Furthermore, for a luxury resort, seeing cheap plastic soap dispensers screwed into the shower walls like a budget gym was disappointing. The biggest issue, however, was the staff training. We were initially placed in a room with non-functional USB ports and no complimentary water. That night, we were kept awake by high-pitched shrieking from a neighboring room for over an hour. When we alerted security, they were unhelpful, suggesting we "use earplugs" for a noise that was clearly audible through walls and for recordings. When I politely asked to be moved so my family could sleep, the front desk attempted to guilt-trip me before very reluctatantly moving us. Communication is also non-existent between shifts. I spent hours trying to move a breakfast reservation, being bounced between a front desk that "couldn't help" and a concierge that had already left. Messages weren't passed on, and notes weren't kept. For the price point, the hospitality is severely lacking. I would not recommend this resort to friends or family.

Definitely not what I would expect from a 5-star resort charging close to $1,000 per night. Overall, the stay felt extremely overpriced for what was provided. 1) Food & Dining The food was decent but far too expensive for the quality and portions. Dining options were also very limited. 2) Housekeeping Issues Housekeeping was consistently poor. Upon arrival, I found trash near the bed (including a sleeping earbud and plastic pieces), as well as a dirty, used glass placed back as if it were clean. I turned the glass upside down to highlight the issue, yet the next day it was returned to the rack unchanged. After complaining, the hotel offered a complimentary bottle of champagne with a personal card, which was a thoughtful gesture. Unfortunately, even one of the champagne glasses was dirty, so I gave up! I was also given a towel that smelled like it had never been washed, as if it came straight from the factory. 3) Ongoing Cleanliness Concerns On a daily basis, it felt like housekeeping was cutting corners, which was evident in the room, carpet, and replenished supplies. This level of service is not acceptable for a 5-star hotel or a $1,000-per-night rate. 4) Staff Experience Most staff were friendly, including the shuttle drivers. Some valet staff and many waitstaff were less welcoming. Advice to Managers Do frequent housekeeping spot checks. Also adjust prices or give dining credits or something. A $20 complementary champaign is not enough to fix this mess, I'm sorry.

Clean room, staff, amenities. Only wished if they had breakfast included on the resort. It was quite hard to leave the area and find a spot, especially if you have a bigger party.
