"My wife and I love Stowe, VT. We try go get there every now and then. However, our last experience left us bitter, our "usual" place had changed owners and it was disappointing. So this time we tried a lovely new inn that just opened in 1945 (well, it's "new" to us!): the Stowe Village Inn. What an absolutely charming, beautiful inn. To be honest, I expected to find Bob Newhart behind the desk to greet us! It was even better: Melinda, the GM of the inn, greeted us and checked us in; such a lovely person! The inn has obviously been well-maintained and renovated over the years, but retains its Vermont-style charm and coziness. The rooms are modern, clean, comfortable. And you know what they say: location, location, location! You step out of the inn and you're right in the heart of downtown Stowe, and as the Counting Crows sang, "it's the heart that matters more". I just can't say enough about this inn, except that I can't wait to get back there for another visit!"

"Already booked for next year!We’ve been coming to the Stowe area to vacation for roughly 20 years, and we think this homey cottage/cabin directly on Lake Eden is certainly the most picturesque we’ve rented. And if you are there during Thanksgiving week, as we were, extremely quiet – we were pretty much the only ones out there – other than a flock of wild turkeys.Despite the feeling of remoteness, you are only 15-20 minutes away from Morrisville and the grocery shopping/dining opportunities there, so it makes a good base of operations for heading out to visit much of what Vermont has to offer.When weather was not favorable, just sitting inside with a snapping fire going in the fireplace and watching the lake change colors and mood was extremely relaxing.Beds were very comfy, showers had great water pressure, and country kitchen is spacious and very well-stocked for cooking most meals. We brought our own knives and non-stick pans as we would for any rental, but the ones supplied were in pretty good nick. The washer/dryer just off the mudroom entry are quick and efficient.If we had any suggestion for improvement, it’s that the living room furniture could use a refresh – the cushions on the wicker chair and futon are quite flat, so trying to curl up with a book in front of the fire was not that comfortable.FYI, the shared, single-lane, private driveway/road to the house is tricky only in that there are some very deep potholes, so you def want to keep the speed down."

"My pup and I had the pleasure of staying in this lovely property for a long weekend. The space is beautifully decorated and comfortable. I greatly enjoyed the unusual art work too. I am pretty picky about noting a kitchen as well-stocked, but this kitchen certainly was! I felt safe there staying alone. Communication with the owner was smooth and helpful. I left something at the property and the owner mailed it back to me in a quick turnaround. I would definitely stay here again. "
