"The room was excellamt quality, spacious and very clean. Breakfast was very good with cooked options of local and European food as well as a good selection of buffet options. Friendly and helpful staff. Only downside is that it is slightly outside georgetown but this is not a criticism of hotel. Excellent pool and gym. Great hotel"

"Room was clean enough, staff were pleasant, we didn’t use the pool but it looked very nice. The hotel backs on to a lovely bit of beach, great for sunset & a little walk. There is a food court across the street which was lovely. The hotel is situated in between George Town & Batu Ferringhi (short taxi rides away) which was perfect for a long weekend."

"The room was spotless and well appointed. There is a local hawker centre about 400 meters away which we walked to for dinner. The bus stops were very handy and only 2MR to George Town. Zeus coffee was 5 mins across the road which my coffee enthusiastic enjoyed for price and quality. "

"The descrfiption mentioned there is hot tub. that is the only reason why i booked this room - for my son. But when i c hecked in, there was no hot tub. When i checed with the agent, she said it's not her problem. previously there was a hot tub, and then they removed it which was obviously a lie. Furthermore she was rude, even before i said anything she became so defensive and said its not her problem. you want to complain, go complain to Hotels.com, this has nothing to do with me."

"We had a wonderful stay at Lillian’s apartment in Straits Quay. The apartment was spotless, comfortable, and had absolutely everything we needed for our time in Penang. The location is fantastic—very easy to navigate, with great hawker stalls just a 10–15 minute walk away, and a variety of more upscale restaurants conveniently located right in the building.The Straits Quay complex itself is lovely, with lots of services, shops, and activities available on-site, which made everything incredibly convenient. Lillian was a warm and responsive host, and her attention to detail made our stay even better.Highly recommended—we would happily stay here again!"

"I had a really bad experience with this homestay. I booked a room and received no confirmation or reply at all. After waiting, I decided to message them—only then did the host finally respond and casually told me the room was not available, and asked me to apply for a refund myself. No apology, no help. I tried contacting the agent and was told to just “wait” with no clear update. It’s been days now. I’ve checked my mailbox and refund status—nothing. The communication is incredibly slow, and nobody seems to take responsibility. This whole situation wasted my time and disrupted my travel plans. I would not recommend this place to anyone. Completely unprofessional and unreliable. "
