"Stayed for 2 nights on bed & breakfast rate. Rooms clean , beds very comfortable, bath & shower both available. Tea, coffee making facilities and biscuits available in room which is always a nice touch. A fresh cooked breakfast to order , which was delicious & piping hot , as was the pot of coffee that was served. Staff are the most pleasant and helpful any time we have visited hence would definitely recommend and would stay again !"

"The area is absolutely stunning with amazing views. The hotel needs a little TLC is a little antiquated needs to be brought into the 21st century only silly things like sockets that take phone cables etc, especially when you’re on business and need chargers etc: however what a lovely place to stay and I would cope lol. Staff were amazing all of them from the gent on reception who seemed to be everywhere to the lovely lady in the Bar and restaurant again she was a very busy lady with a joyful and friendly attitude. All in all a great place and most importantly I enjoyed my time there. Will most definitely visit again even if I have to drive out of my way."

"Great location with panoramic view of Portpatrick. Car parking on site which is included in the cost of your room as long as you register with reception. Very clean hotel . Dog friendly with dedicated areas of the hotel reserved for dogs and their owners. Breakfast is self service buffet. The plate warmer and the hot food warmer do not keep the plates and the cooked food warm. Coffee machine was broken so only instant coffee available at breakfast hence a score of 4 out of 5."

"Overall Great stay host was lovely, the lodging was very nice and clean. location was stunning you couldn’t get better views of the sea and surrounding coastline! Was an incredible stay and will definitely be making a return in the future!"

"It is right next to the water and has a nice position and view of the rest of the small town (village). We would stay again if we had to, as we couldn't find a place to stay in the actual town of Stranraer the Inn is located in Portpatrick). It was adequate for the price. We ate somewhere else, but the restaurant seemed busy. It was also pretty quiet for a pub/restaurant in the summer, which we appreciated."

"We enjoyed our stay at the lodge. It was clean, quiet and comfortable, with great views. It's conveniently placed to be able to explore sites and attractions in the area. Only suggestions would be to look at the flooring which seemed to be giving way in some places. Also, we didn't use the hot tub as the welcome booklet said it needed to be cleaned after use but it wasn't clear how to clean it. Otherwise, all good."
