Willing, courteous staff and very modern room. Dinner menu was expensive the way it was formatted - would have preferred more balanced traditional offerings as well and not the ‘sharing’ arrangement.
The room was absolutely brilliant. And I got my car bogged down the street and the reception girl had a friend come and pull me out. I would recommend this place to anyone.
This property is stunning, the rooms are beautifully appointed, the staff are friendly, the dinning room are bar area are great for relaxing with good food options and the view and scenery around the lake are unbelievably good.
Stayed in the new rooms (Gordon) first night which were excellent. Second night we stayed in one of the older apartments with my brother and father. It was very basic but did the job. The restaurant area with fireplace, bar, lounge was great to chill out and enjoy the view across the lake. Food was good although they do share plates and it is a bit pricey for what you get. Overall the food was quite good.
Beautiful view, excellent staff, friendly and happy. Comfortable bed and pillows. Option for meals in Dining room. Will deffinately be back.

Lovely restaurant and bar area. Great reception. Rooms upgraded but bathrooms a bit tired. Lovely food. Fantastic service! Amazing setting! So beautiful!
As an EV owner, I really appreciate the availability of using the Lodge's charger at the end of a long drive.
Location by the lake is wonderful. Rooms are comfortable, restaurant is good and staff are very helpful.
Hopefully, the new accommodation being built now will have better climate control (cooling as well as heating) and soundproofing than the old rooms.
This remote location is really worth visiting. We stayed in a lake-view room - nice location. It rained for an entire day but it was pleasant by the fire looking out at the view and occasionally sampling their whisky collection (which is comprehensive). At the time of our stay they were doing major renovations. It would have been better if the work started a bit later as the room became noisy and the work vehicles were parked outside our window. This could have been managed a bit better. Nevertheless, we had an excellent time and would return. This part of Tasmania is very beautiful, although we wondered what it was like before they flooded so much of it.
A nice surprise. Staff are excellent. Professional. Friendly. Courteous . The current building works do not disrupt. The staff members appear to multi task. Reception, bar, restaurant, house keeping. The dining/bar/lounge space is warm and friendly and huge. Wood burner is always going. Restaurant serves remarkably good food allbeit a short menu as 50% of selection are burgers and 25% parmies. But its all well prepared and efficiently produced. Often one or two daily specials. Bedrooms are fine. Bedding is comfortable. Actual rooms are dated and probably 3 star motel grade. Bathrooms pretty good and appear to have had a makeover.
