"Had trouble getting in touch with the host and ended up spending the first hour of our weekend stay on the phone with customer service trying to get in touch. Host texted directly about 6 hours later. I was very disappointed with the towel situation. There were two towels, one per person, that smelled like mildew available for us to use for the shower, jacuzzi, and sauna to sweat on. I put the towels on the bed before I realized they smelled of mildew, and so the scent lingered on the bed. Each time I touched the towel my hands smelled of it too. When I asked the host of four more towels, we received two brand new towels with the tags still on. I guess I’ll take 2/4 requested towels unwashed over the mildew ones, I thought. The floor towels for the entryways were also gross, and there was no towel for the shower area. The fitted sheet was so old and pilled, I could read the words on the bare mattress through them. Disgusting. Shower tile/grout needs a scrub. Shower head sprayed in all directions probably from calcium buildup, so there was no way to keep your hair dry. Cabin was dusty, it needs a deep good clean. Lastly, the jacuzzi has lots of instructions on how to keep the water oil-free (showering before and proper attire) but no actual directions on how to operate the machine. There was a note about turning down the jacuzzi when not in use, but no mention on how long it takes to turn it back up…so we didn’t even get to use it on our last night. "

"The good: The house itself is very nice and was very clean. The kitchen was new with new appliances, bathrooms were modern and clean. Living room furnishings were comfortable. Mattresses were comfortable with soft linens.The bad: The front stairs were not shoveled when we arrived which was mildly annoying. But the biggest issue is that the heat was completely off when we arrived and the house was frigid. We could not figure out why the mini splits were not working, and the management company was not helpful when I reached out. We were able to turn on the furnace and the house slowly warmed up, but it took about two hours for the house to come up to a comfortable temperature. When we finally were able to put our kids to bed after the house warmed up, we realized that one of the twin beds was completely unstable; it looked like an ikea bed that was never put together correctly. We had to remove the mattress from the bed and put it on the floor. The messaging with vacasa seemed to be a bot, and none of our complaints were met with any real response beyond “we will alert the local team”. After this experience I’m not eager to rent another vacasa managed property. Problems will come up and generally my family is not nitpicky (I’ve never written a negative review on vrbo), but the lack of helpful response or follow through from vacasa was pretty off putting. "

"Host contacted me 3 hours before check in to let me know that they were having an issue with frozen pipes and that we could still stay at the property, but we would be able to use the bathroom in there mudroom. I paid almost double the price of a usual stay because it was a Sunday holiday and was unable to use toilet, bath, shower, sink. Still had access to the hot tub, but it was dirty. Sauna on propertywas not warm at all. When asked for partial refund due to the inconvience, host did not reply despite multiple attempts. Was so disappointed with the stay. "

"We had the opportunity to come back for a second straight year. We are a large group and the space is ideal and comfortable for our families. Easy drive to Stratton mountain. Owner is great to work with and booking process was really simple. Another year of great memories for our group."

"We really enjoyed our stay—the home is cozy and very charming. The location is great, close to town, and we enjoyed the nearby coffee shop, diner, and café, as well as the close proximity to Magic Mountain.While the home was cozy and nicely appointed, we did find the bed to be very uncomfortable. We communicated this to the property manager, who was responsive and communicated well. They indicated they would investigate our concerns regarding the bed, and we hope this will be addressed so future guests can fully enjoy the property and have a restful night’s sleep.If not for the bed issue, we would have given this property a 5‑star rating."

"Cozy as described. Minimal ammenities but all our needs were met. Shower was dark but a spare light lit it nicely. Watch your head, those over 6' tall, the overhang is cozy but bonkable."
