Escape to the peaceful beauty of Patrick County, Virginia, and enjoy a relaxing stay at our cozy riverside rental cottage located on the beautiful Smith River. property is located about 6 miles above where the Smith River feeds into Philpott Lake. Whether you’re looking for a quiet weekend surrounded by nature, a family adventure, a fishing getaway, or a home base for exploring the Blue Ridge Mountains, this charming property offers an ideal combination of comfort, convenience, and outdoor recreation.
The home features one private bedroom, along with a comfortable pull-out sofa and two sleeping ottomans, making it an excellent fit for a single family of up to six guests or a couple looking for a romantic getaway.
House has all the amenities of home, full bath and kitchen, gas logs, ac unit, Starlink internet, TV, linens are provided.
The real highlight of this property is its location right on the Smith River. Step outside and enjoy the sights and sounds of the river flowing just steps away. The Smith River is known for its beautiful scenery, native trout, and smallmouth bass, making the property an excellent destination for anglers and outdoorsman. Bring your fishing gear and spend a relaxing morning casting from the river, or simply sit along the water and enjoy the peaceful surroundings.
The river is also perfect for tubing and enjoying a refreshing day on the water. Spend the afternoon floating down the river, enjoying the scenery and sunshine, then return to the house for a relaxing evening by the water. The huge deck is perfect your sipping your morning coffee or grilling on the blackstone grill.
For outdoor enthusiasts and sightseers, the property is conveniently located just 6 miles from the Blue Ridge Parkway, giving you easy access to some of the most scenic mountain roads and overlooks in Virginia. You’re also approximately 20 miles from Primland Resort, Mayberry Mill, and Chateau Morrisette Winery, making it easy to enjoy a day of mountain scenery, dining, wine tasting, and recreation. Also a great place to stay for Virginia Tech games and Martinsville Race weekends.
We have outdoor blackstone grill for our guests, firepit, tubes, cornhole boards, outdoor swings and a few fishing rods.
