Waterfront Vacation Home For Up To 5 Guests. Canoe, Swim, Ski, and Have Fun.

Relax in this 1,600 square foot cape that features an open concept great room with pine vaulted ceiling, skylights, and windows that bring lakeside living to the indoors. Choose to kick-back and enjoy the sunset from the 30-foot deck that runs the expanse of the house, or the deck along the shoreline. In the summer season, nothing beats soaking up the sun from the end of our dock or being able to cast off your boat from here to explore Perkins Pond. There are 3 kayaks, a canoe, a row boat, and lifejackets available for our guests. Our fire pit is the perfect environment to wind down from the days activities and roast marshmallows while bonding with family and friends. Enjoy beautiful foliage in the fall season, and in winter, you can ski, skate, or snowmobile. We are minutes from Mount Sunapee Resort and a well maintained snowmobile trail abuts our property.

This house has 2 identical bedrooms with queen beds and walk-in closets, one on each floor. There is also an open area sleeping loft with 1 Queen bed and 2 twin-sized beds (bunk beds) with access to the second-floor bath. The master bedroom is on the second floor with private access to the second-floor bathroom and shower. The first-floor bedroom is adjacent to the main floor full bath with laundry. Our kitchen is fully equipped with new appliances and features a breakfast bar. A 50-inch screen TV is centrally located in the great room with cable, a DVD player and a Playstation 3. In season there is also a bonus game room across the street equipped for video games and Foosball.

Relaxing at Perkins Pond

Wonderful place to relax, enjoy the waterview, outdoor firepit, beautiful sunsets and fall foliage! The house was very clean, kitchen well stocked, comfy beds, spacious enough for a family, 50" screen tv with cable WiFi, games, movies, etc. Something for all! Close to Lake Sunapee

Astonishing - best rental house experience of all time

Gordon is completely amazing. Best communicator. Quick, helpful, thorough, kind, respectful, friendly. Anything and everything we needed was already explained and provided for ahead of time, but when a minor question arose he was right on top of it. We were so impressed by the high quality of this host. The house has every single thing you could possibly want or need. The place is so beautiful--inside and out. Every single room has views of the lake, right up close so even if you're not doing anything but gazing out the window you're mesmerized by the activity of nature and how it plays out on the lake. Inside the photos don't even quite do it justice. Everything is pretty much perfect. In perfect condition. You sink into the furniture in the livingroom as if it were designed just for you and yours--for conversations, watching movies, playing games It feels homey and comfortable but also is great quality and in pristine shape. The diningroom table is spacious and a spectacular spot for gathering for meals. Little aesthetic touches are tastefully placed around the house--nothing--not one thing--is tacky, corny, or hokey, as in many rental places though there are light-hearted touches referencing the area. The kitchen has everything needed, is fun to cook in, has wonderful extras like spices and extra paper towels. Even the trash can is thoughtfully placed, new, and lined--with lots of extra trash bags. The bathrooms are great--upstairs in a Jack and Jill adjoining the loft and the amply sized upstairs bedroom (which looks over the lake from an entire wall of windows). Comfortable beds upstairs and downstairs. The washer/dryer is helpful and simple to use. The deck is glorious. The dock is beautiful and steps away. The check in and out was seamless, with a modern but intuitive to use electronic lock system--motion-sensitive light above the front porch, which made it a no-brainer to make your way inside after being out in the dark night. The place is so convenient to anything at all you need. At the same time it is totally remote and quiet except for nature. There are some neighbors on the same road and they seemed quiet and respectful. The guest book and introductory emails did not leave out any details. We immediately settled in upon setting foot inside the house and in fact extended our stay--such a superb experience and place to be (while our house in New London was undergoing construction). Unreservedly recommended. Hope to stay again!

Perfect week

Two couples in our sixties - we had a great time! Weather was perfect, the location is gorgeous with wonderful views of the lake, beds were comfortable. We relaxed on the deck, swam off the dock, canoed and kayaked to our heart’s content. Secluded but not far from grocery store. Inside of house is even nicer than the photos.

Feels like Home

Comfortable, Clean, Welcoming and Everything is already there. Food and clothing is all you have to bring. The owners are very responsive and kind. Easily accessible. Responsive to any questions and issues. During our stay here I had still had daily responsibilities that I had to leave for; Each time returning, as I left the Hwy; I felt I was returning home. Nice Lake House

Located right on Perkins Pond, which in New Jersey we would call a lake, it has a wonderful view of the water just as you turn onto Burma Road. Nicely furnished and easy to get into town. Worth doing again.

Didn't want to leave!

Amazing property with incredible views. Kitchen is extremely well stock, beds are comfy,house has plenty of space. The pictures don't do justice..it is even prettier in person.We love every minute of our stay. Gordon was extremely responsive to every text. We will be coming back!

Hidden paradise

We loved everything about our stay except for the fact that we had to leave. The house was clean and well appointed. All the essentials were in place as well as extras such as games, puzzles and foosball. The dock was large and sturdy. It was perfect for enjoying my morning coffee as well as for fishing. The NH fall foliage was better than post card perfect. Gordon was very attentive throughout booking, we had to change our reservation (without an issue), checked on us when we arrived and was just a text away during our stay! We can’t wait to come back!

Love this rental home!

My family and I just enjoyed our third vacation trip at this beautiful home. As always, the house was immaculate, well stocked and just perfect for a relaxing week on the lake. Perfect Get Away!

This property says it’s the perfect get away and it truly is! Situated at the end of Perkins pond with a beautiful unobstructed view of the lake , this lovely home is well equipped for an active vacation or just chill We had a little of both-enjoyed the boats, games, separate game house and more. Cooking was a breeze with 2 grills and well provisioned kitchen! It was very clean too Just a wonderful time Hope to be back!

Comfortable and Welcoming

Everything you need. Just bring your food/drinks and clothing. Second Vacation here. As with any vacation, the weather played an important factor. It’s New England, wait five minutes and the weather will change. IE; jumped into water between rain showers. Had two nights dry enough to use fire pit. Great time to converse with family and friends. Large selection of board games/puzzles and a Game Room above garage. Lots of thing to do while avoiding rain. Antique stores in area have many great items. Even if you’re not buying, it brings back a lot of nostalgia. Great place to unwind.

Comfortable, Cozy House with PERFECT water location

My wife and I had a wonderful month on Perkins Pond thanks to Gordon. The house was everything that was represented. There were a few minor issues but Gordon was extremely responsive and had them fixed immediately. The house sits about 30 feet away from the lake with the deck, several steps and dock one continuous stretch of decking. Perfect! Great views of the lake from the bedrooms and dining area, really from anywhere in the house. I love to fish and the House came with a rowboat and canoe which were great for fishing. There were also three kayaks. Fishing was OK, not super, but almost always caught a few including a 3lb largemouth bass. All in all, we had a great time and look forward to a return visit next year. Thanks Gordon for a everything!

Beautiful rental

My family and I loved this rental, clean, beautiful location and well cared for. Very well stocked. We enjoyed just relaxing by the water.. fishing, kayaking or just sitting on the dock.

Lovely Well-Equipped Lake House!

The weather wasn't on our side, as it rained all but 1 day we were there, but the lake house is well-equipped and has 3 kayaks, a canoe, and aluminum row boat--all in terrific condition. With all the time we spent inside, it was spectacular to have a variety of games, DVDs, and puzzles to boot! A lovely area for some much needed time away from home! Thank you Gordon and Debbie!

Home with docks on Perkins Pond

Pond and fall colors were a panorama outside the generous window area. We were able to row comfortably on the pond using the boat from the VRBO even though it was October. Deck with large picnic table is great for dinners. Kitchen is well equipped. Recommend having ice cream from Sanctuary Dairy for dessert. An excellent VRBO.

Perfect pond getaway

This house is a gem because it is comfortable and attractive and has an amazing view and access to Perkins Pond. It has a dock and kayaks and other equipment to make enjoying the pond easy and it feels more private than other homes because it is at one end of the pond. Gordon responds promptly and provides very clear instructions on how to keep the property well maintained.

Relaxing lakefront home, has everything you could want or need!

We were looking for a lakefront home with a deck and dock where we could relax, kayak and fish. This home had it all and more! We had great weather and the foliage on the lake was beautiful. The men enjoyed fishing off of the dock and caught a couple large bass and a 2 Pike. The rental comes with kayaks, a canoe and a row boat. We enjoyed sitting around the fire pit in the evening. We went for a hike not to far from the house. Took a ride to Sunapee harbor and shopped at Wild goose country store. The house was spotless- so clean and beds were comfortable. Highly recommend this rental. We will be back!!

Peaceful Retreat

My partner and I spent four days at the lake house. The house had all the things you would need for a very comfortable stay. The setting was beautiful - the lake view from every room was stunning. We used the kayaks and hiked the Sunset Hill trail in Newbury. This was the perfect get away and we are already planning a return visit.

Wonderful Things

We really enjoyed our stay. It’s a very nice clean home with plenty of linens and bath towels. Kitchen stocked with all the pots/pans/dishes we (6) needed, including ADC coffeepot, blenders, and electric hand beaters. Great place to tool around on with the kayaks, canoe or row boat, which was very challenging in the wind. Dock and deck were great watching the sunsets albeit through the trees. Swimming was great even though the bottom was a little mucky. Winds usually calmed during evening to use the fire pit. We brought NH wood and it was great to have a cover available to keep it dry. Great game room with lots of games, movies and puzzles for off the lake or inclement weather activities. Neighborhood/lake was quiet as you would expect. There were parties but no late night ones that disturbed the enchantment of the lake. Questions were quickly responded to by the owner.
