"Upon arrival there was a sign on the reception advising that there is no food being served at the hotel. This includes breakfast. Anyone wishing to eat in the evening will need to either drive somewhere (not really walking distance from anything) or use a delivery service. It would be helpful to have this clearly detailed on the booking page as it is a general assumption that the hotel will at the very least include a breakfast service. The building, grounds and surrounding areas are all very nice, however, upon entering the hotel, its as if you have gone back in time to the 1980's. The whole decor is very dated, with narrow halls and stairs and the rooms themselves haven't been renovated for what seems like 3 decades. I imagine that the hotel was once a very nice place, with the restaurant and grounds, and would have been a fantastic wedding venue, however, it seems that years of neglect and lack of investment have lead to it becoming rather run down and and in need of extensive upgrades."

"My colleague and I stayed here for a work trip and we loved it! The rooms were clean and comfy - with beautiful views. So handy to have a continental breakfast in our bedroom as we had early starts both days. The food in the pub was delicious with lovely service. The staff were so kind and helpful - special thanks to Sarah and the lovely housekeeper (sorry I didn't catch her name). Great location. Highly recommend!"

"We noticed the disinfectant is diluted as was the breakfast maple syrup for the pancakes. This is a false economy as we didn’t eat there again. A saving of a few pence against four days of breakfast and evening meals. "
