"Artun Guesthouse is a quiet, quaint, picturesque place. We stayed in a little cottage with 2 bedrooms that are very clean. The kitchen has complete gadgets to allow people to cook. The host was courteous and very helpful. The guesthouse is in a farm, so you can smell farm animal smells depending on where the wind is blowing. The views on the way to Artun was amazing. Quickest check out ever."

"Das Ferienhaus ist mit allem was man braucht ausgestattet. Der freie Blick auf den Fjord aus allen Zimmern und von der Terrasse ist außergewöhnlich. Das Exposé des Vermieters, welches er nach Buchung versendet, ist sehr ausführlich und lässt keine Fragen offen. Die darin enthaltenen Tipps für die Umgebung haben wir dankbar in unsere Ausflugsplanung aufgenommen. Die Wanderung auf den Kaldbakur ist anstrengend, aber der Blick über den gesamten Fjord und die Berge ist einmalig. Empfehlen können wir auch die Fahrt mit der Fähre von Dalvik zur Insel Grimsey. Die Insel liegt auf dem Polarkreis und die Wanderung zur Polarkreiskugel ist leicht und bis zur Rückfahrt der Fähre gut zu schaffen. Wir haben unseren Aufenthalt mit 5 Übernachtungen in dem Ferienhaus sehr genossen. Beim nächsten Mal würden wir noch mehr Zeit einplanen."

"We loved the Siglo Hotel! It was so quaint, clean, quiet and perfectly located. Check-in was great and Filip(?) was very helpful with all of our questions. We were taking the ferry to Grimsey Island the next day and he and his coworker (Helga?) were able to print our tickets for us, which we forgot to do prior. The hotel had a great restaurant which we ended up eating at later. We wanted to eat at the bar, which was so cool, but they didn’t provide food there. I think they would get more business if they offered food options as not one person was there. We explored the town, which was steps away from the hotel and in a beautiful fjord setting with mountains all around. The hot tubs looked amazing tho we did not partake of them. We didn’t have time to dine in for breakfast the next day as we were short on time, but it looked great and we managed to snag a couple croissants as we headed out the door. Unfortunately, take out coffee is not a thing in Iceland. We would love to come back when we have more time to enjoy this lovely property!"

"The cabin was as advertised. It was clean and comfortable. It sits on the shore of a small lake with birds and fish. The area is quiet and walkable to the various amenities in Olafsfjordur (a couple of restaurants, harbour and swimming pool). Would book again."

"Das Haus ist direkt am Meer (Ende Fjord) und sehr ruhig gelegen. Eine wirklich tolle Lage! Es ist ca. 30 Min von Akureyri entfernt, daher sollte man beim Einkaufen gut planen. Insgesamt hat es uns sehr gut gefallen. Von Außen, vor allem im Eingangsbereich, macht das Haus keinen so guten Eindruck da die Vortreppe etwas beschädigt ist. Innen ist es aber einwandfrei und wie beschrieben sehr gut ausgestattet. Auch Handtücher waren einige vorhanden was super war. Es gibt eine Waschmaschine, einen Trockner und eine Spülmaschine, alle Geräte funktionierten einwandfrei. Tabs für die Spülmaschine waren vorhanden, Waschmittel hatten wir mitgebracht. Bei Fragen war die angegebene Kontaktperson gut erreichbar. Insgesamt kann ich das Haus mit gutem Gewissen weiterempfehlen."
