Very small rooms but clean and tidy parking is a bit hard on check-in due to Westfield next door

I enjoyed my stay very much. I really liked the old fashioned style of building, especially the tumbled bricks.
Food at the restaurant was great.
However, the beds were hard and uncomfortable. Getting the temperature right some precise fiddling.

Reasonably clean for older establishment. Some wear and tear but comfortable.
When we arrived to check in, the Reception was unattended. Over the next 40 mins, we went to the Bar Staff for help twice! Finally, we could check in - firstly, I was given someone else's registration to sign! That corrected, we found the room had a double bed, ok, my daughter and I could share, but the room was SO tiny, the bed was against the wall! The room was well stocked and clean. We were woken just after 7am by the cleaner! After asking why she thought we had asked for the room to be cleaned, we were told we had handed in our keys - it was pointed out, they were NOT our keys!

The staff were great. The property itself was very shabby and tired though clean. The accommodation rooms definitely need a renovation though were adequate for a one night stay - linen very good. The $165 cost was a bit stiff for quality of accommodation.
There were cockroaches in the room and in the cupboard where the cereal plates mugs glasses cutlery toaster and kettle were kept. Spoke to staff member and room was sprayed but the cockroaches were still in the cupboard during my stay. The room was ok and comfortable bed and nice hot shower. I don’t know about any free breakfast there was only cereal tea coffee the toaster and kettle in the cupboard and in the fridge there was small cartons of milk and juice and slices of bread with small butters and jams.
The staff member did say that there are renovations going on at the property and probably have stirred up cockroaches and bugs in the rooms and around the property. I have stayed at this property on several other occasions and there have never been any cockroaches or bugs. I did enjoy my stay catching up with friends while I was there.

It was very noisy on Friday nights. Also breakfast consist of two small bags of cereal and two small thing's of milk. Four slices of bread in a baggie and a toaster. They was never anyone in the reception area. The cleaning peope were fantastic. The bar tenders were also great people.
It's a working pub. The rooms are basic and clean. It's a place to put your luggage and to sleep at night. And it's reasonably priced. The rooms are upstairs and away from the noise, and although you can hear the muffled sound of live music on Friday night, it's over and quiet by 11pm. The beds are comfortable and I got a good night's sleep. In-room tea and coffee making facilties. Plenty of decent hot water in the shower with a good pressure. It's major attraction is the location. It's two minutes walk from Hornsby railway station and one minute's walk from Westfield shopping complex.
This is a very cool property with accommodation above a pub and restaurant. The rooms are very basic, but comfortable and clean. There was a surprise sandwich in our fridge, but because we didn’t need the refrigerator, it was a non-issue. This accommodation, is in the middle of everything, and you will meet wonderful people in the pub and surrounding area. There is a giant shopping plaza right next-door, but if you stay on a Sunday, go early if you want to shop. The staff We’re very friendly, accommodating, and extremely funny when we had to deal with a big storm. I would stay here 100 times over, just for the people. The hotel portion is not accessible for wheelchairs, and There is remnants of the smoking culture still lingering in the walls. If you want a high-tech modern place, this is not the accommodation for you if you want to feel like a family member, welcome home.
