We had a very pleasant stay at Mercure Penrith and would happily recommend it to others. The location is excellent — right next to multiple fast-food restaurants and with direct access to Panthers Club, which gives plenty of choices for lunch and dinner without needing to drive anywhere. Check-in was quick and smooth, and the front desk staff were very friendly. A special mention to the gentleman at reception who kindly advised me not to park under a tree due to bird nests above — a small but very thoughtful detail that saved my car from being covered in bird droppings! The room was clean and tidy. Housekeeping was efficient, and while the room itself is a little dated, the bathroom was spacious, very clean, and well maintained. The bed mattress was a bit too soft for my preference — it would be great if the hotel could offer an option for a firmer mattress in the future. Soundproofing could also be improved. We could hear guests talking next door and doors closing above us, so next time I may request a room in a quieter area of the hotel. Overall, despite a few minor points, I’m still very happy with the stay and would give Mercure Penrith a solid 5-star rating. I’d definitely stay again and recommend it to others.

Very comfortable for a night at Panthers Leagues Club. Only small criticism is that there is only one person on reception for a 222-room hotel which can take a while if there are a few people trying to book in or out and the receptionist is taking a phone call at the same time. The bus from Penrith station stops right outside the club although, as they run on a loop, getting back to the station isn't quite as convenient and can take longer. There is internal access between the hotel and the club - but just a tip. If you get off the bus, go straight to the club and get your daily membership. That way when you book in at the hotel, they will link your room key and you will be able to use it on the internal door into the club. I was there on a Sunday night and found the hotel quiet, the bed was extremely comfortable and the TV a good size with free-to-air programs (which not all hotels have nowadays).

Earbuds required!

Hotel never informed that on night stay i booked a music festival was on. Room had notice to explain and "complimentary earbuds" to cancel noise but buds didnt totally block noise, went on well after 10pm
