Property unmaintained and is dirty and bathroom stinks of urine. Toilet is not cleaned, bathroom stinks of urine and whatever. Nasty! This property has great bones, must have once been a beautifully maintained property. But not sure what happened, but now the property is probably maintained by locals with basic sweeping. We were greeted by a welcoming area which is a small open room that is dirty. We hoped to for that our villa is better. As soon as the door was opened the entire villa stunk of bathroom. We peeked into the bathroom and wished we ran away but unfortunately it was late night in the village so we had no choice. Swimming pool water was dirty, curtains were dusty and dirty. We did not brush or touch anything. Blankets were old and dusty but was not stinky. So we just went straight to bed. We had two choices. Stay inside the blanket and smell dust or stay outside and smell the bathroom stink. What a horrible nightmare!! The staff was courteous.
Its pleasant stay in this barley new, well kept small villas complex. Owner Puja and his team make feel us warmly welcome and do their best all week long. Inside villa has everything you need to relax "deep in a jungle".Thanks a lot! Cleaness is briliant! Internet is perfect! Drivers are ready to take you anythere near immediatly for free. Dont miss Tanalot! Only thing, what need to be serious improved is restaurant. We found its overpriced (for example comparing to near villa complex restaurant in a 200 meters distance on a beach way) and most important - food not tasty ....Other thing (not about hotel ofcourse): beach there is full of trash and garbage. Locals love it to enoy sunset, but nobody cares about...So if you arn't rude surfer, do not count on beautiful beach days there. Walk to the beach (10 min) thru rice fields is lot more enoyable than beach itself :(

to start off with we arrived to find no record of our booking of 3 nights which we had made months in advance and all the villas were booked out. we got sent to their sister motel up the road which was ok but disappointing we didn’t get our villa. we rang expedia and they contacted villa puspa to see what happened, we were told we will get a villa for 2 nights out of three nights we had booked. so we went back the next day and we were put in a different villa (upgrade to 2 bedroom as our 1 bedroom was unavailable but was told we can only stay one night then return to sister motel. then the next morning we were told our 1 bedroom villa was suddenly available to us for the last night ! between the 2 villas we stayed in we were rather disappointed . some of the lights didn’t work, some flickered .the toilets were very loose and weren’t cemented to the floor so there was a gap and smelt very bad of sewerage. The sink in one villa must empty in to something in the cupboard underneath the sink and it overflowed and flooded the kitchen.the cupboards didn’t close properly, the shower in one villa was broken and we had to use twist ties to hold the shower rose in position otherwise it kept falling down. some of the glass sliding doors we couldn’t open as the key had been broken in the lock…the list goes on. we have been to Bali twice and we understand a few things to be under par in each motel we stay in but villa puspa was the worst. The staff were lovely people, meals were good,

Nice villa, nice staff but needs some maintenance
We stayed in the villa with 2 bedrooms. The pool, the open kitchen and living room are really nice. About 500 meters from the beach. Easy to walk or by the hotels' bikes. In the direct neighborhood there is a small warung (Lenon) wicht is pretty good for the lunch. The beach is ok to make a beach walk but there is no restaurant. Only some small warungs for a Bintang. The staff at Villa Puspa is very friendly, but their English is not very good. They bring you with the transfer cars to where ever you want, but you have to pay for it! But they are very punctual and always on time when they pick you up again. This was very positive. The pool was dirty with sand and some leaves of plants at the bottom, this needs to be cleaned up. The bathroom smells a little dirty. The kitchen and the wardrobe (in the bathroom?) was a little bit outdated. The villa is about 45 minutes walk to Tanah Lot temple. Very nice trip trough the rice fields. But if you want to go to Canggu you need a scooter or ask the driver to bring you. The villa is really nice to stay. And if the solve some of the problems as called above, it is almost perfect.
