Loved the old world ambience of this hotel. The buffet breakfast was very good and we enjoyed our evening meals as well. I did miss air conditioning as it was very warm weather when we stayed here but the fan did help. Staff were very welcoming and helpful.

Historic hotel in a great location overlooking the beach in Tadoussac. Love the history and the view. The rooms are dated and the soundproofing is inexistent - was unable to sleep all night because of the guests on the floor above. Staff were pleasant but overall the experience is a bit overrated for what it is.

The river views are spectacular and it’s worth it booking the river view rooms. The hotel is historic and like stepping back in time to the basics, in the most charming way. FYI - AC in the rooms, third floor was warm during our stay. The staff were extremely helpful and friendly in French and English. The grounds were beautifully maintained with beautiful gardens, and everything inside and out was extremely clean. Loved our stay. Worth the long drive from Ontario.

Clean and comfortable room, beautiful scenery however pool was closed (very dissapointing for us), and the upper terrace was reverved for part of our stay so not accessible and finally no air conditioning in our room. I expect more when I Pay $300 per night. That said, this is a beautiful place and the staff were great.

We traveled to Tadoussac to do a whale watching tour. The Hotel was a 15 minute walk from the departure dock. The hotel itself is beautiful with a stunning view of the river and gorgeous flowers everywhere. I especially enjoyed being able to visit the old Jesuit chapel and cemetery next door and found it to be just as if not more meaningful than the many cathedrals we have visited over the years. We arrived in September so the pool was not open. Our room was very nice though there is no a/c and the window didn’t open, but there was a ceiling fan. We enjoyed the breakfast buffet and dinner at the hotel one evening. It was expensive but the service was impeccable and the food was good. We had hoped to try a local cafe for breakfast but couldn’t find one open early and we stopped by a local pub for a late dinner but their kitchen had closed.

This hotel reminds me of bygone eras. It's full of character and charm. And is my choice of stay whenever in Tadoussac All Staff is really helpful and kind. The location of the property is also what sets it apart from others. It just sits right on a huge lot, facing the water. Rooms are a little on the older side. No aircon. But nights are usually cold in Tadoussac, so not much of an issue. And the reception sends portable fan if you really need it. Love this place. Will definitely stay there again.
