The hotel itself was nice. The staff on the other hand was horrible. Upon arrival the bellhop got into altercation with our cab driver. It was brutal exchange of words with the cab doors slamming open and shut multiple times all in front of my granddaughter. Completely unacceptable. I had paid $75 for early check in and did not get to check in until 4. The desk clerk said that are room was not available but if I would agree to a different room I could have it then and he would give it to me cheaper so I agreed. Once I agreed and signed for the upgraded room, he then told me it wouldn’t be ready until 4. He then charged my credit card my original room charge plus $100 a night more for the upgrade. Management refused to anything about it. I will never stay here again. I have always stayed at the New Yorker and will go be to them from now on.
