Warm and welcoming hotel close to the city centre

POSITIVE - VERY service minded and helpful staff (especially Chiara and Giuseppe) - good breakfast - comfortable room - walking distance to the city centre - very close to restaurants (good advice from Chiara) TO BE IMPROVED - difficult to find the hotel, a description would be good to receive in advance (since many streets are only one-way or for residents) - hotels.com need to change the phone no. on their webpage since it has changed and also take away the text that the hotel is “close to the beach”. We walked to the beach, which is no problem but when you write “close”, it should be closer :-)

We were delighted to be offered an upgrade to their partner hotel next door at no extra charge. However on our return home we were shocked to find that as well as the cost of the stay we had also been charged an extra night as though we hadn’t shown up at the Hotel Elios. Staff on the desk have not been helpful when I called to point this out and asked us to email customer service, which I have done 3 times with no reply. I took the complaint to Expedia who said it was between us and the hotel. When I disputed this, Expedia have now taken it up either the hotel group, but that is all....still no resolution and O am still out of pocket I remain unimpressed with Expedia and would not recommend the hotel.

Absolutely dissapointing

Quite disappointing although the expectations were not very high ( while the price was - 300€ total for 2 nights, to be able to have a window and breakfast I need to add up extra costs). Breakfast was served at 8 o’clock only as I found out the following day so could not have it as I needed to leave at 7:30. Bathroom was tiny, no frigo bar, no elevator to the floor on which we stayed and no one to help with the suitcases.

standard room 이기 때문에 환기도 안되는 방에 배정되어 창문이 해가 드는 방은 추가요금을 요구했다. 다른 고객도 객실 때문에 싱갱이가 있는 것을 목격했다. 마케팅 전략이 형편 없는 방을 주고 좀 더 나은 방으로 옮기려면 추가요금을 받는 전략인 것 같다. 방의 침대에서 개미가 두마리나 기어다녀 잡았다. 인터넷 광고와 너무 달라 호텔을 옮기도 싶었다.

Fantastic area and an amazing sea view from our balcony. Ok breakfast with egg and salami, fruits, bread, criossant, cakes, yoghurt. Very close to the maincity and the shopping street.

Ersatz auf niedrigerem Niveau

Das Hotel Elios konnten wir nicht beziehen, da die Zimmer einen Wasserschaden hatten. Wir bekamen Zimmer im Haus Chiara, die eine Kategorie unter dem Elios lagen. Leider hat sich der Preis dadurch nicht verringert. Das hätten wir erwartet. Das Elios können wir deshalb nicht bewerten.

雰囲気のいいプチホテル

タオルミーナ中心から海側に少し歩きます。宵っ張りのイタリア人の声もあまりせず、静かに過ごせます。 標準だと山側の部屋ですが、私は追加料金で海側に変えてもらいました。 フロントは親切で安くて良いレストラン等教えてもらいました。 海がバッチリ見える朝食場所などあり、値段に比して十二分です。リゾート地のホテルとしても合格だと思います。

cheap and cheerful

i would recommend this hotel if you are looking for a very cheap and basic get away to taormina, the room had air con and a little balcony, the bathroom was basic too as was the breakfast, but not too bad for what we paid and what we were expecting
