We stayed in the family room with a spa. The spa is a bit old and the paint was flaking off it. Also took ages to fill up and if you leave it, the water slowly drains out. But the kids loved it. Would also suggest going to laundromat if you want laundry done as the washing machine and dryer ($2 for 30 mins) is pretty average. Would have been good if a quick vacuum was given everyday too - kids mean crumbs everywhere. Towels get changed, everything gets cleaned n beds made everyday. Front counter is super friendly. Overall no complaints. Fitted our requirements.

Staff were wicked upon checking in and leaving. The location was very good only thing that really let our stay down - was the bed, it was like sleeping on the floor so very hard. We came up for the Taupo marathon and got no sleep due to it! :( breakfast was ok, good for the price. Bathrooms had had a recent makeover which was nice and the room was clean. Overall well priced just if you have a bad back or can’t handle a hard bed I would stay somewhere else

The room itself was clean and the bathroom seemed recently updated. It also looked like they took over the neighbouring motel and it was a bit dated, particularly the outside areas. Perhaps this is why the standard room cost less. I imagine the nicer rooms were located on the original/modern side of Quality Inn. The bed was the worst part of the stay. However, the staff were friendly, parking was fine and the breakfast was decent for the extra $5 paid for the room so that was a bonus. Next time though, I would pay extra for an upgraded room.
