Close to the water with wonderful views out to the city in Welcome Bay, there are many great parks and reserves enjoyed by the community. Further, immerse yourself in Welcome Bay Hot Pools, heated by earth's geothermal energy and enriched with minerals. The tracks in Johnson Reserve follow streams, wetland areas, native bush and open grassed areas. Check out Kaiate Falls cascading to a spectacular fall and pool at the end of the walk, just a 30-minute drive from Tauranga.

We stayed here for a long weekend with couples and one single, but unfortunately, the house wasn’t suitable for a group of friends or multiple couples. With only one toilet and one bathroom, it was quite inconvenient. We definitely wouldn’t recommend this place and won’t be coming back. In additional the kitchen was under- equipped with a basic but important to be in the kitchen.
