We had such great experience the staff alone went beyond after check in. The experience of having all inclusive from unlimited drinks, food, pools was amazing. Everything was well maintained and clean my favorite part of it was the Hawaiian show and the game night. The fact that Expedia provided an amazing rate made it a night to remember.

I found the best place to rest and I could forget about stress and the sorrows I couldn't choose better place than this is paradise for me and I got super happy for all the attentions I received from the asta reception at the restaurants and I promise you I will soon return to paradise

The resort facility and staff are wonderful. The pool is amazing. The staff is kind and helpful. The beach is amazing. The buffet is weak and over valued. Needs improving. The Snack Bar was constantly out of food during peak hours. Yet the entertainment through out the day and the evening theater show was another amazing bonus to this property.

I was looking for an all inclusive because i wanted to go enjoy time with the family and not about paying for each meal or drink. I was very impressed with the service and staff. The drinks were great, food was ok not gourmet food but not hotel food if you know what i mean. Still very clean and safe. Access to the beach very convenient to access with lifeguard on duty. Overall i will be going back.

We had a really great vacation here. The beach is beautiful, although the water appeared dangerous to swim in because of the tides and current. The sunsets were amazing and you could walk on huge stretches of sandy beach in both directions. The staff was amazing and very friendly. A couple of the staff knew English, which was very helpful for us, as we are not fluent in Spanish. Pedro, who leads the entertainment staff, was very welcoming, had excellent English, and was very friendly and helpful. The entertainment each night was absolutely amazing. I would definitely stay here again. Thank you Oceana.

Oceana Resort is beautiful place, the wait staff is very friendly, accommodating, eager to satisfy your needs. However, I do have one observation (which I share wi management) the fact that there is no servers at the pools is very inconvenient, not everyone is willing to seat at the bar for hours, but instead choose to have drinks throughout the day. It gave me impression that this model was to discourage or minimize consumption of food and drink. For an all inclusive, some people do not get what they paid for. The above statement is intended as a constructive criticism and does not reflect on your employees

Positives: Everyone gets a balcony to enjoy the beautiful sunsets over the Pacific Ocean and fireworks after dinner. New Year's Eve party was well organized, fun entertainment and best meal in seven days stay. Negative: Check-in was caotic. Some staff members need customer service training; some looked tired or not engaged. I witnessed a pretty heated argument between a manager and a guest at check-in, it was embarrassing. Poor quality toiletries, bring your own. Children were allowed to use the swimming pool "for adults only". When I asked a staff member about children in the adult section, he just could not help. You need to wake up at 6am to make dinner reservations by 7am. Food and drinks were average, not worth waking up at 6am. They have dress codes for the buffet and restaurants that ony very few people followed. The whole experience seemed overpriced for a very average resort.

This property is very nice, the surrounding beach and pool areas are nice and well kept, there were plenty of food options and the food itself was good. Overall, we really enjoyed our stay here. There are a few things that did stand out to us as issues though. If this hotel is going to claim a 5 star status with 5 star prices - you expect a 5 star experiences. Here are a few areas the property fell short, for us: -We stayed for 4 nights and our room was only serviced 1 of those days despite having the “clean and tidy” sign out. - The bathrooms and doors are in a bit of disrepair and the mattresses were not comfortable. - The main pools were hot! Like, hot tub temp hot. They refreshed the water once during our stay and that seemed to help but mostly the water was quite warm. In 98 degree weather we weee really looking for cold pools. The adult only pool and the pool attached to the bar stay cool so we really stuck to those. - Lastly, for a 5 star experience - poolside service would be preferred. This might seem picky, but again - for the price, these are the things we would expect. Overall the area is beautiful, the staff were all very nice, and we enjoyed our stay.

This property is ideal only for local Spanish speaking families. It's a bad choice for non Spanish speaking people and those who aren't traveling as a family. Nobody speaks even two words of English so basic communication was hard. Also because of this the hotel was completely unresponsive to all my messages about how to travel to the hotel from the airport. We had to arrange a private vehicle for $150 each way and it was often a smaller (personal) and not very clean vehicle. The bad: No convenient transport to/from hotel from airport or any excursions. You have to figure it all out yourself. Crowd is entirely local families so no couples/singles or diverse group of people to interact with Too many kids all over the place. No adults only area or pool. The gym was very hot and very limited/poor equipment. Music/entertainment area often goes until midnight and might disturb some light sleepers They spray for mosquito repellent multiple times at the worst times when everyone gathers for the sunset and both the noise and chemical fumes are unavoidable! Who knows what you and all those kids are breathing in?! Rooms are clean/modern but very basic. No coffee maker or refreshments in room. Desk is unusable. The good things: Food was good and solid quality Staff despite not knowing any English was friendly Property is newer/modern looking Comfy beds/pillows (better than most hotels)
