It’s my second time staying at JOJO TLV. Very clean and modern “city house" hotel. It’s one floor of an apartment building with a number of rooms, a lobby area and a terrace.
The lobby area has some basics, including a microwave, Nespresso machine, kitchenware and a refrigerator.
What is nice is that you can check in any time with a code, so good for flights arriving at midnight/early morning. Staff are very helpful with storing luggage after check out.
The area and Jaffa beach are safe for single ladies to walk at night.
The hotel location is amazing. I used to live in the area, so I know it well. It’s close walking distance to buses, the light rail, Florentin, Neve Tsedek, and the Jaffa beach and Shuk. I felt very safe returning alone at night as a woman. Just use the usual precautions.
I have back issues, and the bed was very comfortable. Good water pressure. Nice ambience. Everything was clean when I arrived.
The service was wonderful. They were responsive, friendly, and easy to communicate with. They gave me a late check out and let me store my bags. The sweet manager, Effie, even bought me extra hangers to make me feel more at home.
I highly recommend!
This is the perfect cool spot. I stayed in many places in Tel Aviv, I’ve been returning to the Jojo TLV for good reasons. The manager, Efi is a fantastic host who is always available and attentive to your stay. The facility is very homey, with equipment and several coffee options. When you arrive, look in the drawers and fridge; the kitchen is yours. The location is a short walk from the tourist beach and expensive rooms and right on the fringe of the residents with the grocery, restaurants, flea markets, and newly opened light train line right at your doorstep.
Well, I’m back again. Just love this place. It is so homey, and the bed and shower are really good. The shower has room for two with a rain shower overhead and a handheld wand. They are independent of each other with as much pressure and heat as you can stand. Just amazing when you wash off your day and climb into a solid comfortable bed with plenty of first-class pillows. Becoming my home away from home with everything outside the door, and a great host, Efi…always available and offering coffee. Meeting nice travelers also.
We would highly recommend this hotel. It was clean and comfortable. Its a nice walk to the beach and there are a few restaurants close by. Overall, a good experience staying here.
Jojo was the perfect hotel for our trip to Tel Aviv. Efi was friendly and helpful and made us feel at home. The rooms were spacious and clean and it is conveniently located close to the besch, restaurants and shops.
This is a good deal for people on tour buses most of the day. For me being from America, it was difficult to find the building at 10 PM at night. Limited access to the staff if you reply via the Expedia app messaging.
Stayed for one night and had great experience. Very convenient location. The room is clean. The bed is surprisingly comfortable. The shower is small but modern and clean with perfect water. The manager is not onsite after hours, but responds messages instantly and help as much as he can.

Liked: Cleanliness, staff & service
Location! Open kitchen available at all times. Security system is top notch. Rooms are modern, quiet and clean. Up some stairs to enter. The front is not manned at all times so you need to call when you first arrive to get the door code. Very comfortable.
We stayed here for a few nights recently. The hotel is small and 4 of the rooms are off the communal area. We stsyed in one of the other front facing rooms. The rooms are decorated in a quirky way with exposed plaster and pipes. Our room was spacious and there was plenty of hot water. The bed was comfortable. Like lots of hotels now the room was accessed by keypad and communication was via WhatsApp. Effie the manager was on hand most of the time and was very helpfull. The cute communal area was great. Free tea and coffee and a large fridge to keep food. Also there is a little outseide terrace. Jojo is near jaffa old town and Florentine ane there are plenty of places to eat. The only downside was the traffic noise but Tel Aviv is a very noisy place with drivers feeling the need to constantly use their car horns.
Don't make plans in JoJo hotel- Bad Service & Vibe
We were supposed to spend a night at JoJo when my wife got sick and we had to cancel, instead of doing that I decided to contact the Hotel to see if we can instead just get the room on a different day (so instead of taking a refund, we kept the reservation and the hotel received the money). The Hotel said yes - however now when we want to book the room again now there are conditions (not on Friday, or Holidays) so we can't do it on days where the price is higher EVEN WHEN I offer to pay the difference to the higher price.
The owner said that she won't give us a room on days where the price is higher "because it's a business and they need to make a profit" - Makes no sense - but these are just the kind of people that run the place.
First impression on entering the building was a little worrying but when we entered the accommodation we were amazed and very happy. The room was perfect for us and the kitchen area had everything we needed.
The property was modern and inviting and very clean.
We arrived very late and the only problem we had was finding the street door Maybe a street view photo of the doorway would be useful for guests.
Parking was easy. We were fortunate to find free street parking and there was pay carpark just across the road.
The location is great as it is short walk into the centre of Jaffa and we would definitely stay here again
Endroit très bien placé, le design est sympa, il y a une terrasse, une cuisine, par contre pas de double vitrage et donc du bruit tout le temps….et on va à l hôtel pour dormir à la base.
Love the cleanliness of this place, it is top notch! Old building but updated and gives you a luxurious feel. Decor is vintage but original, so unique. Flexibility of late check in is a plus! Juval was very prompt and helpful in answering our questions. I would suggest keeping an instruction handy for the coffeemaker, I do like some decaf coffee at night but it was either turned off or I just don’t know how to use it? Not a dealbreaker but would be helpful for the next guests. Oh, face towels were missing in the linen which I thought maybe was just an oversight, forgot to ask the next day. Their bath towels though are oversized and so fluffy! Good to note that you need to prepared to take the stairs. Yes, I would stay here again, and again :)
This hotel has rats, roaches, and unresponsive management. I booked for one night in April because the price was okay and the cleanliness rating was pretty good, in fact it was anything but.
After arriving I left my bags in my room to get sunset photos. I came back, and feet from the door a giant cockroach landed on my neck. I freaked out and flicked it off. I wasn’t inside yet so I decided to dismiss it. I walked up the stairs and before you enter the rooms is a cute outdoor patio that is part of JOJO. I checked it out and saw a rat. I tried to get a photo but it ran away. I alerted the manager Carol.
I went out again around 10 pm to get McDonalds, but changed my mind and walked back to my room. I checked out the patio again, and either saw a new rat or the same rat and got a photo of it. I went back to my room, and saw a small roach on my bed. At that point I decided I wanted to leave, but everything else was price surged so I stayed. I left by 8 am and asked Carol if I could check out remotely because I did not feel comfortable leaving my bags there. She made me come back to complete check out in person.
She told me she couldn’t see the rat in the photo I sent her, so I zoomed in for her. She told me the hotel had no problems before, and almost implied I brought the rats and roaches. I asked for a partial refund at the very least ($130 USD was way to much for such an unsanitary hotel). She said her team would think it over but didn’t get back to me.
This is a unique place with lots of character and friendly owners. The location is super convenient for access to Jaffa, Florentin and the beaches. We would for sure stay here again!
