"If you want a beautiful home with a private beach, this home is perfect. It has four bedrooms, five bathrooms, a full kitchen and a dining living room area. But the biggest selling point is the patio. It’s comfortable, complete with a pool and just steps from the beach. The tropical breezes and the sound of the ocean waves was amazing!This home is in San Benito which is about 30 minutes from Progreso and an hour from Merida. It’s important to rent a car so you can see all the sites. We have been to Mexico many times but never this area in the Yucatán. There are Cenotes to swim in and Mayan ruins to visit. We particularly enjoyed Mucuyche and the pink salt flats. The people of Mexico are warm and welcoming. They even tolerated our minimal Spanish. Juan, the owner and Gregorio, the caretaker were very accommodating to all of our needs. Juan gave us a list of places to visit during our time there. We would definitely recommend this house to anyone staying in the Yucatán. Thank you, Juan, for all of your help. We had a wonderful time."

"We had a lovely time here, this is a beautifully designed home with big sliding doors out to the pool and beach and sweet courtyard beside the stunning staircase ! The rooms are large, the beds are very comfortable. The wind can be very loud in some of the rooms. The kitchen was large, lovely and easy to use, pots were good, lots of tupperwear, knives adequate and lots of cutlery, but not a lot of mixing bowls etc. and not well stocked with food basics. Good to note - there is only a bar to sit at inside with the large table out on the deck - but the wind can make it hard to be outside in the afternoon/evening. The pool was lovely and clean, with lots of natural vegetation, and such a great view of the beach! Also a sweet spot down closer to the beach with a little area and climber for kids to play. It is farther down from the 'beach towns', but close to a little fishing village, with a few fun place to eat nearby. "

"Truly delightful stay. Comfortable and stylish accommodation, extraordinary terrain with historical buildings full of artistic and vintage artifacts. Secluded yet safe. with the most friendly and accommodating staff. Excellent food in the onsite restaurant. Great for walking around, where birds, iguanas and even monkeys can be spotted. Impressive seiba trees. Artisan pottery souvenirs can be purchased directly from the artist. "

"The property itself is stellar. Beachfront. The house has great bones. It is however showing some age due to salt air and paint splatters.We had a lot of plumbing problems beyond anyones control, but the communication with Francisco was quick and easy, and he did a great job getting plumbers there with a new hot water heater even late at night.There are a few creature comforts that could be brought in to elevate the property beyond the advertised "minimalist" level. There was constructtion next door, but really didnt cause a problem.The smell of sea lavender was intoxicating, and daily visits by hummingbirds and orioles was awesome. The sounds of the ocean are right there, and create a great backdrop to an otherwise quiet and serene experience."
