Overall our experience was good, you need to be prepared to take a taxi or walk about 30 to 40 minutes to the center of the attractions., like cafe, restaurants, beach, etc.

On a cobbled street in the sleepy town of Garachico, Hotel San Roque offers a truly unique experience for those wanting to escape the hustle and bustle of resorts, and stay in boutique comfort. Amazing views from our room as well from the gardens. Across the road from a spectacular park and 15 minute walk to the harbour area with all its shops and cafes. We had a meal there and enjoyed some of the local wines at reasonable cost.Our only complaint is the obscene cost (18€) of the breakfast. Lots of local cafes within easy walking distance for less than 1/3 the cost. Other than that, I give top marks for the hotel and its professional helpful multilingual staff. The resort is simply amazing - the food, the staff, the service, the landscape - all work together to make the place special. The whole atmosphere was so tranquil and relaxing. This was a special stay. The Prestige rooms are also wonderful.

The staff and service is excellent. The food was fantastic. It would be my first choice of accommodations if I’m in the islands again.

Pros: Amazing adult area/pool, dining options, friendly staff, amenities Cons: Isolated, located on a very steep hill which leads you to rely on calling the concierge to arrange transportation (difficult to get anyone to answer the phone), recommend a rental car

Very good value for money. Staff all very professional and friendly. Very clean room, comfy beds, relaxing atmosphere and lovely rooftop terrasse with pool (though I did not use it). Good breakfast. Very well located. They do a very nice job. I would certainly recommend!

We had an ocean view room with a balcony. The view was spectacular and the balcony had enough privacy and room for both of us to sit and enjoy the air. The beds, while split, were extremely comfortable. The breakfast and dinner service is worth the money! The spread is absolutely fantastic and the chefs there to provide fresh food are spectacular. One of the finest resorts I have stayed in. Amazing restaurants, beautiful grounds, pristine rooms and helpful, friendly staff. Close to a great beach and only 10 mins walk from the main town area with a lot of bars, restaurants and other activities. Would definitely return for a second visit when I get the chance!

Wow just wow! We’ve recently returned from a ten day trip and loved every minute of it. From the beginning the hotel was very accommodating. They provided a proper cot, mattress, duvet and pillow for our one year old and even left a cuddly toy for him which was a lovely touch. I’d asked to be put in a quiet area by the pool which we were.
