"My husband and I came to this very special hotel for our last day of our honeymoon after a week in Mexico City. It was the perfect escape, and we were welcomed by incredible staff. "This place was great. Confortable and fun for a stay in the mountains área. Couple of things to know... 1) you have to sign something upon arrival saying you will not bring in any outside food or drink. Very tough for people with young kids and their restaurant closes at 5:30pm. Tough for grown ups too. 2). They provide a space heater for the cold nights. It was not effective but more importantly, the cord was too short to put the heater anywhere where it could be remotely effective. 3). Staff was super great, friendly and helpful."

"We were looking for a hotel for the night after our tequila tour because we did not want to drive drunk. This hotel is a bit pricey for our budget, but it was worth it. The tasty cocktails when you check in, the beautiful and clean swimming pool, the modern rooms, the super friendly staff, and you are right in the middle of the tequila distillery zone. You can smell the sugars of the agave! We loved the magnificent rubber trees on the grounds. The hotel will try to sell you a Tequileña tour--the hotel is actually owned by the distillery. We hearily recommend booking a tour of the artesenal Fortaleza distillery just around the corner. It was excellent. Be sure to get to book a room facing the courtyard--distillery noise affects the city-facing rooms"

"Once we arrived at Casa Fernanda we had spoken to the front desk about our prior experience that left us with a bad taste in our mouth, hoping to prevent us from eliminating such a beautiful place in the future. After giving this property another chance we found ourselves enjoying every aspect of the hotel, especially the special birthday treats from the chef. As we travel the world we share our stays with others just as this was shared with us. Thank you for ensuring that history did not repeat itself and for the wonderful hospitality that we hope to have in the future as well. Special thanks to Mayra, Esmeralda, Yomey, and the valet gentleman that assisted us with our bags during check in and check out!"
