"Do not stay here worst experience ever ac in room was not working after booking two rooms in which both TVs did not work after the front desk argued with me about the AC they reluctantly move me to another room where the TV also did not work. They have people in the hallway, smoking substance and people playing dice games outside very unsafe. Property left the same day property still refusing to give me a refund as of now I have complained with Wyndham and with Expedia and I am waiting to see about my refund as of now, I am out of it do not stay here. I warn you. "

"This was a beautiful historic home that accomodated the 5 of us perfectly. We stayed for a couple of days before our cruise and enjoyed that it was so close to the seawall and port. Raven was great and available when I needed her.. We will stay here again next time we visit Galveston! Thank you!!"

"Check-in and communication was great, other than the molded pizza crust I found on top of the refrigerator when I arrived. There is a window AC unit right next to the bed that never shuts of and makes if difficult to sleep. There's no soap in the unit other than hand soap and Dawn. There isn't a trash can upstairs, the main living area and only bathroom. Parking is problematic and not guaranteed. Finally, there were two roaches in the kitchen I was having my last cup of coffee. I would not stay here again. "

"We stay here every time we visit Galveston. This time around I made a bad decision to book a hotel down the road to give it a try. It was awful! So we quickly reserved the Double Tree and left the awful hotel. That night I paid for 2 hotels but coming to this one was worth it. Double tree is exceptionally clean, great staff, and the convenience of the bar at the property as well as the delicious steakhouse nearby. "The backyard is as awesome as it looks in photos. We relaxed in and round the pool and hot tub. When the battery died in the front door she replies promptly. Some of our group walked to the beach and another walked to the strand. All the bedrooms were large. AC worked great. "
