A beautiful view of a snow covered sugar Mountain The house was everything and more than we expected. All the necessities were stocked. The home was also conveniently located to the adorable town of Banner Elk. "

"Host was very responsive and helpful. We had a beautiful snow during our visit which made the driveway a bit slick and the host kindly arranged for the drive to be plowed. The home was clean and well cared for. The bedrooms were spacious. The screened back porch was lovely and private, and the hot tub was wonderful—clean, with strong jets. The location was incredibly convenient to both Banner Elk and Beech Mountain. As some other raters have noted, the home is directly on the parkway with a bit of noise, so it’s good to be aware of this before traveling. There was a large volume of traffic on the parkway the weekend we stayed due to the snow and an influx of visitors heading to the top of Beech Mountain for skiing/tubing. It was nice for us to be so close to a main road, though, with the driving conditions. Some other reviews mentioned the enclosed side yard with fence. There is a nice side yard, but the fence is not fully enclosed—it is a partial front fence with open hilly back. For an active dog, leash walking may be best. Love that you can bring your dogs to this home!"
