"Breakfast was nice but could have been kept warmer as a little on the cool side . Cannot fault the staff all were excellent and helpful. The only surprise we had when arriving was that it cost £10 a day to park the car on their car park ."

Food excellent, definitely need to reserve dinner as the restaurant is very popular with a good varied menu. Breakfast equally varied and well presented. "What was previously a slightly shabby hotel has been renovated to a very high standard. Bedrooms and public rooms are excellent and very good value overnight stay."

"The hotel is looking very tired. We had a standard double room, all that was left when we booked. Perhaps other rooms are better. Our room was small, hot and very dimly lit. A heavy curtain had to be kept closed as we got up as there were no nets and we were overlooked from the car park, and the dim lighting made it difficult to get organised. While clean, the bathroom had peeling paint and loose shower controls. Furniture had chipped paint. The bed was comfortable and the breakfasts were superb. The location in the Cathedral Quarter is excellent. "
