"My wife, who is an artist, loves the decor of this hotel. I found the staff really helpful. We had an odd problem with our room due to the kettle causing an electrical short. The staff were excellent in sorting out the problem and gave us an upgrade. The breakfast is very good and well laid out with options for a personalised service. The beds are very comfortable, we have stayed there before so can compare the rooms. The location is excellent, just near the railway station. We plan to stay there again when visiting family."

"We stayed in a superior double room which we had stayed in previously. The decor was slightly tired and the A/C was quite noisy. Staff as delightful as always and breakfasts are excellent. "We had such a fantastic week at the lovely Victorian Cottage in the wonderful historic community of Grantchester which is in close proximity to Cambridge. The accomodations were absolutely charming with terrific amenities to meet all of our needs. It was super clean and tidy and we loved the beautiful paintings on the wall created by artist and co-host Tess. The cottage is situated near local pubs and also across from the gorgeous Grantchester Meadows. If you are a runner or enjoy walking or biking into town, the two-mile footpaths to Cambridge via Grantchester Meadows are truly spectacular and like no other -- we walked into town every day as the footpaths are a true highlight. Tess and Suk were so friendly and helpful to us. We are already planning our next visit!"

"This is one of the best homes we have rented- it has a lovely welcoming feel. The house is thoughtfully decorated and equipped with everything you could possibly need without being cluttered. The good sized garden is secure, not overlooked, has outdoor furniture and a clothes line! Although it was extremely hot (mid 30s) while we were visiting, the house stayed acceptably cool. Parking on the property is good (we had one car but two could fit). The location of the house is fantastic. The walk across the meadows to Cambridge is beautiful and Grantchester itself is so pretty. The three pubs/restaurants in the village are all terrific but the Blue Ball in particular deserves a repeat visit. The food is terrific (including for vegetarians), and sitting in the shady garden on a warm evening was most relaxing.The host, Amy, was quick to reply to all communications and very accommodating. The information provided for guests in the house was very helpful.Many places that claim to be pet friendly are not- they only allow dogs. If you travel with a well behaved female cat this is most frustrating and we were grateful Amy accommodated us and our cat.We would definitely stay again."
