"I was skeptical because the price was so low, but I booked a couple of rooms for a long weekend and was really impressed. The check in was quick, staff friendly, and the rooms were very clean. The grounds were well maintained. The only thing was that the hot tub was not in service, but it was absolutely fine since its not really the time of year for that anyway. Also, if you are looking for a full breakfast, you will be disappointed, but a nice snack to tide you over is what is available and the coffee was good. Would definitely consider it if ever staying in Novato again."

"We have stayed at this home before. It is very well appointed, especially the kitchen. The setting is quiet and beautiful. It is very conveniently located with easy access to nearby points of interest. The homeless was spotless. John is an excellent and communicative host. We stay regularly in the area to visit family. The home is perfect for family gatherings. On this occasion we were easily able to get to Napa, Tiburon (Angel Island), Larkspur (ferry to the city), and Muir Woods and beach. Highly recommend."

"The staff was friendly and accommodating, moving my room to a quieter part of hotel after I advised I worked graveyard and needed to sleep late into the day. The room & gym were clean. Parking was easy & available. I did not try the breakfast. "

"I have stayed here many times and it’s a great place and most of the staff are extremely helpful and friendly. I come often and spend a lot of money. We get the two bedroom suite so that I can meet up with some friends in the area. We are always quiet and respectful and yet last night… Tuesday, 28 April… We were harassed several times by a very angry night clerk. He was shaking and sweaty, regardless of the fact that we were calm and complying. It wasn’t even very late and our music was super low and yet he came up and gave us a warning. We turned the music almost completely off and quieted down even more and yet he came back maybe 15 minutes later making irrational threats about evicting us in the middle of the night. I guarantee he would not be able to do so as we were not causing any problems. It wasn’t even that late. As a matter of fact, we were lights out and going to sleep shortly after midnight. We have a right to be in the room we paid for and to be talking and enjoying ourselves as long as we are respecting the other guests which we were. This guy is just a sad old cranky man who has no friends of his own and so he couldn’t handle that we were having fun. After last night, I am very hesitant to stay here again. I would suggest to the management that they have a talk with him and maybe even fire him. There’s no reason he needs to be harassing and threatening paying guests who are following the rules. Super disappointing."
