"The esthetic of the buildings and grounds are very pleasing at first glance. In reality it appears to be an old econo lodge type motel remodeled with mcm details, but the musty smell remains in the room. The shower curtain liner was stained. The staff was very nice and the restaurant gets very busy for dinner with both guests and locals. We didn’t eat at the restaurant but the menu was well planned. The property is not on the beach. There is a nature preserve across the street, about a 30 minute walk to get to the beach. There was no car access to the nature preserve during road work."

""Step back in time...". As soon as you lift the latch on the door and let it swing open, you feel as though you've walked through a portal. Back to a simpler time in the northwoods. Decompression begins. Breath slows down. You're embraced in a space where the walls mummer of stories from the past. Words of encouragement to let go and unwind are whispered. It truly is a magical place.The Dancing Bear is amazing! Location, amenities, appointment of details and modernized updates are remarkable, while preserving the integrity of a 100 year old cabin with intention. The listing's description is most accurate and tells of all the comforts and conveniences better than I can. Read it, let it sink in and be prepared for one of the best stays you'll ever have.The hosts are extraordinary! Communication was stellar! Our comfort as guests was indeed a priority and they care about the guest's experience.Loved it so much, we've already made plans to go back in the Fall.Thank you so much, Sarina & Dewey, for a lovely lovely stay!!"

"This house is a very special one. Not only is the setting relaxing, the house itself is done beautifully. Amenities were very good...shampoo, moisturizer, spices in kitchen, coffee....we were very pleased! The property manager was delightful and responsive immediately to any of our questions or problems.All in all, I would absolutely rent this home again."

"The property was clean, cozy & convenient! Our host also provided clear communications for seamless check-in/check-out & a way to reach her should any questions arise. There is moderate traffic noise during the day given the property’s location right on a main road into & out of town. However it is not obtrusive & practically nonexistent in the evening. That also made it practically a straight shot under 2 mile drive to the main dining, shopping & entertainment area of Harbor Springs. All-in-all a pleasant & relaxing weekend getaway for my wife & I. We would certainly consider booking again if available on a return trip to the area."

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: Everything was wonderful except that the information on how extremely challenging it was to get the be🌠act was misleading, at best. Also, ww were not aware that there was another residence on the property. T🏴he house itself was excellent and convenient to town."

"We had a great time staying at this property. Everything was clean and working well. There was good Wi-Fi. We were able to hook one of our tablets up to the TV when we wanted it. Harbour Springs and Petoskey were wonderful. Lots to do. We recommend Pond Hill. They had great pizza! Will definitely stay again."

"This home was very cozy, and had everything we needed. They’ve made some updates, but it still has the harbor springs charm. My kids loved the little playhouse out back, along with the ping pong table in the basement. There was a thoughtful welcome basket on the counter when we walked in, which we appreciated after a long drive. Love the attention to detail. Great location too - right by pond hill farms and 5 min drive from downtown. Would definitely recommend staying here!"
