HEAVEN IS A PLACE ON EARTH

"Heaven is a place on Earth" is a secluded cottage in a heavenly setting, with private waterfront at Castelo de Bode Lake in Central Portugal. It is comfortable without being luxurious, but the fact of having your feet in the water is what gives it its' unique charm. Water temperature is around 28deg during the summer, ideal for all the water sports. Gear is freely available for: Stand Up Paddle, windsurfing, catamaran sailing. Wake boarding school is half a mile away. Great hiking and mountain biking paths from the cottage.
The cottage has no immediate neighbors, and the silence is pristine. The property has a long waterfront, beautiful views, fresh mountain air, and the water is crystal clear. The access to the water is via gently sloping landscaped gardens, and a large private raft is permanently moored to the property. There is plenty of space to sunbathe and to launch the SUP boards, as well as tie up the Hobie Cat.
Serra is a quaint little village up the hill, with 2 small cafes and a mini-market. Take a 20 min drive from the cottage, with all the main supermarkets and amenities of a European town. The "Convent of Christ" is a world class monument, and Fatima is not far away. There are now 3 additional Eco Friendly bungalows available for large parties. The bungalows can sleep 4 adults, and have all the necessary amenities you would find in a modern hotel suite. The bungalows are overlooking the lake, and the view from both beds is absolutely stunning.
The bungalows can also be rented separately, the price is 100 euros per night with a minimum stay of 7 nights.
