It was an old hotel, but apart from one very large cockroach, it was very clean. You need to realise that these cockroaches fly in and the window was open. I would definitely stay there again during the Carnival of Flowers. For just an overnight stay it was fine.
I really liked this little hotel, it was quiet and the location was really good. We had easy contact with the reception ( called a number). Important for guests to know that the entrance is around the side/back of the building. We stayed one night but slept very good. Downside is shared bathroom but its not the end of the world
It was comfortable for one night. Being a Saturday night other guests in the hotel were very noisy between 10pm and 2am disturbing my sleep. Showers and toilets were clean.

Liked: Cleanliness, staff & service, amenities
If it just a bed you are after, then The Met is ok. It is basic, clean and the other people are quiet.
The shared bathrooms are ok, take thongs.
The rooms just have a bed and a hand basin. They do get cold in winter, warm clothes is a must
After long days at FarmFest the sports club next door is the perfect place to have a great meal and a wind down until time to go to sleep as there is not kuch in the room to do.
The cafe/kitchen is very basic with a microwave and fridge. With tea and coffee available.
All in all for the price, The Met is fine.
Parking is on the street
It was difficult to get into the building, which was shut. A phone number was listed. The entrance was in a narrow lane with key safe boxes. The hotel itself was closed up and not operational. The bedrooms were clean and linen clean. The one common toilet and one common shower were dirty and unusable. What is on your website should be removed as it gives a bad name to you company. Someone should visit. I would recommend that you do not deal with this property. Thank you for the opportunity to share our experience
We wanted a place to stay that was comfortable, but not upmarket. It was close to everything & suited our needs. It was clean, staff were friendly and we could cook meals when required.
We were glad we chose The Met Hotel.

Definitely put a small fridge , a chair and a small table in each room , not a good idea sharing one fridge with 17 rooms .
This would not cost much . At $70 a night , believe it or not it’s actually over priced for what you currently get.
A room for a week should be no more than $250 at this premises . It’s an ok deal for someone who is on the dole or struggling , a lot better than the street .
The manager / cleaner was very pleasant and helpful , the owners are lucky to have her .
