  • The 'Villa El Regalo' is located in Frigiliana, one of the most beautiful whitewashed villages in Spain. It is a very relaxed place, with beautiful views of the sea and mountains, ideal for families and active people who enjoy trekking, diving and biking. The homeowners take great pleasure in the detail of a guest's stay and like to give guests a personalised experience. The charming 2-storey villa consists of a living room, a very well-equipped kitchen, 3 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms and can therefore accommodate 5 people. Additional amenities include Wi-Fi (suitable for video calls), air conditioning (only in the master bedroom), a pellet stove as well as a washing machine. A baby cot and a high chair are also available.

    The villa boasts a private outdoor area with a pool, a garden, garden furniture, an open terrace and a barbecue. Enjoy the pool all year long!

Pros: Geweldige tijd gehad in dit schitterende huis. Eigenaar bijzonder aardig en behulpzaam. Huis ligt in de bergen met vanuit iedere kamer een prachtig uitzicht op Frigiliana, Nerja en de zee. Woning is smaakvol ingericht en de ruimte waar het poolbiljart staat is fantastisch door het uitzicht. Dikke pluim voor zowel Martin als zijn vrouw Loli. Komen hier zeker nog een keer terug.

Pros: Das Haus liegt auf einem Hügel und der Ausblick auf die umliegende Landschaft, den Bergen und dem Meer ist einmalig! Wer einen ruhigen Urlaub sucht, ist hier genau richtig. Der Pool sorgt für die Abkühlung an heissen Tagen. Die Küche ist optimal ausgestattet und lässt keine Wünsche übrig. Unser Highlight war der Billiatdtisch auf der zweiten Terrasse, wo hat man schon seinen eigenen Pool und Billardtisch? Man muss allerdings wissen, dass man ca. 25min in die Stadt/ zum Supermarkt mit dem Auto wissen. Wen das nicht stört, der wird seinen Ttaumurlaub erleben. Der Vermieter ist sehr freundlich, hilfsbereit und hat immer tolle Tipps parat.

One of the best villas I have stayed in

Before the holiday I was apprehensive about being able to arrive at a certain time, and a little worried about immediate access to the property. However, with a few days to go, the property manager Martin got in touch via Whatsapp and his flexibility regarding arrival time made things very much easier. He also visited during the week and was very helpful. The location of the villa was superb, with magnificent views down to the Mediterranean and across to the mountains. Road access to it was pretty easy by the standards of this area. Absolute peace and quiet prevailed, the only sounds being the very occasional barking of a dog. I have stayed in numerous villas in this part of Spain, and this one was right up there with the best of them.

Pros: In werkelijkheid is de ligging van het huis nog mooier dan de foto's op de site doen vermoeden. Fantastisch zicht op de zee, de bergen en het schitterende dorpje Frigiliana. Het huis is smaakvol ingericht en je kunt kiezen uit een van de vele terrassen die dit huis te bieden heeft. De eigenaar is zeer behulpzaam en vriendelijk (spreektaal, engels, duits of spaans). In Frigiliana hebben wij geen grote supermarkt kunnen vinden en de supermarkt in Nerja is een half uurtje rijden. Auto is dus noodzakelijk. Wifi probleemloos. Dank je wel Martin en Loli voor de mooie 2 weken die wij in jullie huis hebben mogen verblijven. Wij hebben genoten.

Pros: El Regalo, betekent Cadeau of genot Beide zijn zeker waar, het huis doet haar naam eer aan. De ligging is werkelijk fantastisch, midden in de bergen met uitzicht op zee, de bergen en het witte dorp Frigiliana! Het huis zelf is karakteristiek Spaans, met balken, kleur en mozaïktegels. In februari hebben wij genoten van de open haard in de avonduren, erg sfeervol. Het grote terras en het zwembad maken het compleet. Aanrader voor rustzoekers, overdag hoor je alleen de vogeltjes fluiten en 's nachts helemaal niets. Ook de bedden waren prima. Speciale dank aan Martin (eigenaar) voor het fruit, de wijn, altijd bereikbaar en hulp indien nodig! Zelfs ons naar het dorp gebracht voor boodschappen toen wij in het donker aankwamen. Nogmaals hartelijk dank, Martin!

The next morning walking out onto the terrace and seeing that view was awsome, the photos did not do it justice, you have to see it for yourselves. Martin and Loli, the owners, are so nice, they make you feel very welcome. The villa is beautiful and equipped perfectly, even down to food, wine (red and white) and fruit on arrival. Martin told me that the wine is made by his brother-in-law. This villa is at the top of the mountains and if you want peace and quiet and views, this is the one. Thank you Martin and Loli for sharing your wonderful home. We loved it :)

The property was perfect size for us, 2 adults and one small child, and the pool and outside area was ideal. Pros: We had an amazing stay at this wonderful villa near Frigiliana. The house was tastefully decorated and had a lovely terrace where we spent evenings enjoying the stunning panoramic views of the sea, mountains and Frigiliana town. It is great for families as our two boys enjoyed the pool thoroughly. We've been to Spain plenty of times and this is by far the best house we've rented. The wifi was good, the house was clean and it had easy car access from the main road (which isn't as common as you'd think in spain). There are restaurants within walking distance and further more in the town of Frigiliana. We'd like to send the owners a special thanks as they were very helpful and friendly, they even brought us fresh towels and linen after half of our stay. I would definitely recommend this house to anyone that wants a peaceful stay with good value for money. It has all the facilities needed to make your holiday a home away from home.

Pros: Cortijo Regalo. Enjoyed very much our stay. The villa is very much in the traditional style which we prefer and was both clean and tidy on arrival. It has everything you will need as a home from home and is well laid out and comfortable. Four of us stayed for the first five days which left my partner and i for the remaining two weeks or so. I would only make mention that an additional sofa or seating in the main room would have been useful as it was a little tight for four, but i stress this is not a criticism, only an observation as the Villa has plenty of space. The pool is a must with the hot weather which was put to its intended use. The bedrooms, all good and the two bathrooms, well always useful and pleasant. Air con in the main bedroom usefully but also found just leaving all the windows open at night with air con off and using the upright fans worked very well also but the air con did come in handy when needed. The hoist Martin was very helpful with suggestion on eating out and when a need arose he was very helpful and obliging. Friggilliana is some ten minutes away with an assortment of small shops and the market on Thursday which is worth a visit. for shopping Nerja has a good number of supermarkets, Mercadona for most things. If you cook and fancy a BBQ the best place we found for meat is Super Sol, Mercadona have a meat counter/butcher but these are not high end cuts for that we used Super Sol which has an excellent butchers and produce. For Fish Mercadona we found best. If you are shopping any length of time we used a couple of cool bags with ice bags handy which meant we could stop for lunch on the way back to Villa Regalo! Would we stay again? absolutely yes, its a great villa and well cared for by its owner. We have stayed a good number of times around Frigilliana and we enjoyed this one very much. Easy to get to, private with fantastic views and walk to restaurants.

Direkt beim Betreten des Hauses besticht die umlaufende Terrasse und der atemberaubende Ausblick auf die hübsche Umgebung von Frigilana und das Mittelmeer. Hier kann man entspannte Stunden verbringen - vom Frühstück am Morgen bis zum Grillen bei Sonnenuntergang am Abend. Highlight ist sicherlich auch der überdachte Grill - Grillen mit Mittelmeer Blick garantiert. Das Haus selbst ist ideal für die Familie und gut ausgestattet zur Selbstversorgung, das Schlafzimmer mit Klimaanlage ausgestattet. Das gesamte Grundstück ist sehr gepflegt, sauber und liebevoll gestaltet. Der Pool eine super Erfrischung nach einem Tagesausflug von Malaga oder Grenada. Loli und Martin waren tolle Gastgeber, sie sind sehr offen und hilfsbereit für die Urlaubsplanung und die Schlüsselübergabe hat reibungslos funktioniert. Zur Begrüßung gab es sogar einen Obstkorb. Insgesamt eine tolle Adresse für einen entspannten Andalusien Urlaub!

Pros: Tolles Ferienhaus. Super Lage, alles da was man braucht. Vermieter haben sich um alles gekümmert und waren immer erreichbar. Wir kommen auf jeden Fall wieder.

Pros: We arrived a little early but Martin and Loli were very accommodating in meeting us. Its a short drive from the village of Frigiliana to the Cortijo through the hills.The house was exactly as described, and as has been mentioned before by others, the views from the terraces are beautiful. The property is well equipped and very comfortable. Two bathrooms is a definite plus. The pool and BBQ area are great and just what was needed for a totally relaxing time. The property has the sun all day long and we didn't lose it until almost 9pm at night so the days seemed to stretch out forever. Another plus was being able to watch the Euro's on the BBC/ITV from the comfort of the lounge. This is a great base for exploring the area and with the towns of Nerja and Torrox nearby there's plenty of supermarkets to keep the cost of the holiday down. Martin was very helpful when we had a slight problem and vey responsive. We had a great time here and I'd love to return. I would have no hesitation in recommending this property to anyone.

Pros: Die Lage ist tatsächlich unvergesslich. Vor allem wenn man nachts anreist und von der Küste aus direkt in die Berge zu fahren glaubt. Morgends steht man dann auf, schaut aus dem Fenster, geht auf die Terrasse - und traut seinen Augen nicht. Dieser Blick steht jetzt als großer Panorama-Druck bei uns uns in der Küche! Das Haus ist eine Wucht, aber das haben andere ja schon sehr treffend beschrieben. Man kann rund um das Haus wunderbar wandern, aber vor allem in und um Frigiliana. Die Geschichte dieses Ortes ist faszinierend, geht bis auf die Mauren zurück. Danke Martin für die interessante Tour durch den Ort. Den Besuch auf der Dachterrasse des Restaurants war eine wirklich gute Idee. Überhaupt sind die Leute vor Ort äußerst nett und flexibel. Der Pferdehof in Nerja wird von einer Schweizerin geführt. Obwohl die anderen Teilnehmer der Tour nicht erschienen, führte sie mit unserer Tochter die Tour dann alleine durch - herzlichen Dank dafür. Ich schließe mich gerne meinen Vorrednern an: Martin und Lolli: wir kommen sicher wieder!

Pros: Rented it for 2 weeks in July. It is a fantastic place with beautiful wiews of the mountains and sea. An autentic cojito in beautifull spanish stile and the pool are great for the hot summerdays and the kids loved it! Loli and Martin are very hospital and helpfull owners! We highly recommend it :-)

Pros: We had a very nice stay in this house for most of april. The house is nicely put togehter and there were just about everything you needed in the cupboards. The terrace has the most beautiful view of the surroundings. The landlords are very nice people. If anything negativ is to be said it is the fact that it often gets a bit windy on the terrace, but if you'd like to visit during the hot summer months then it's probably a nice thing. Be aware though that the house is about 10 minutes drive from Frigiliana, so it is a country house :)
