We requested room service and did not receive it. We had to request and pick up clean towels. I don’t think that requesting room service once for a three night stay is unreasonable. We were told someone didn’t come in for their shift. Unfortunately, that makes more work for those who do show, but that should not be an excuse for not fulfilling requested service. This is precisely why we changed from our previous hotel of choice! On a positive note the breakfast buffet was exceptional. Steve, cook and server was professional and pleasant. He kept the food coming and the area and tables clean. Five stars for him!

I had booked this hotel because it advertised having a fitness facility. Also for location. When attempting to get off I75 at the right exit I discovered the exit closed and had to tack on 10 mins to my very long drive I felt the hotel staff, knowing that exit was closed due to construction, could have sent a notification to anyone arriving during that closure to save the hassle of driving further north and having to come back south to get to the hotel. Then, checked out the advertised “fitness facility” which turned out to be just a room containing a treadmill and elliptical and the AC was not working, no fans, no hand weights or any machines for strength training. Completely unusable. Notified front desk it situation with ac and was told that the thermostat was not functioning and they’d “see about getting it fixed”. In my opinion, it’s false advertising to say you have a fitness facility that contains just cardio equipment and no AC! The pool was nice, breakfast was decent most days. Never got anything restocked in my room, no sign saying you have to ask for a cleaning. But apparently that’s standard now?

We had a great stay here. Highly recommend the large (total of 4 beds) family room, it was a great value. The indoor pool, onsite coin operated laundry, free continental breakfast (it's simple, but it does the job, AND they have the self serve waffle iron that everyone loves), free parking, and convenient access (next to a Walmart) make this hotel hard to beat when staying in the Troy area.

The staff was nice, parking very easy and convenient, location good and near Walmart and chain restaurants, as well as only a short drive from downtown Troy. We really enjoyed the pool and the 24 hour coffee/tea availability was a plus. We also used the guest laundry and it was fast and clean. Room condition was pretty good, with the exception that the shower curtain should be changed out/washed (it was grungy). The beds, carpets, etc. were all nice and clean and comfortable.

Hotel was overall ok. Receptionist was not so friendly. She would not smile. She had this strick librarian look on her face. She also assumed we were together with another family. She mentioned that quiet time is at 9pm. I've booked so many hotels in the past and have never heard any receptionist make that remark. We have kids with us which made me think that she thinks our kids are noisy. In the room, it was rushed cleaned as a small wet towel was left still hanging at the bath curtain pole. Otherwise, the kids enjoyed the pool and breakfast was excellent. Hotel exterior looks good and clean. Also, very convenient as a Walmart is next to it.

I was not impressed with so called jetted tub I paid extra for. Room had a horrible strong perfumie smell, we Opened window to air out, still a strong odor 9 hours later made eyes water. There is a wall separating the bed from the couch and chair. Great right? TV is in front of bed unable to see from couch and chair. Dirty or badly stained towels in bathroom. Needless to say I did not enjoy what I had hoped would be a romantic evening with my husband. Bed looked great until we got in it. My side was nice somewhat firm. Husband got into bed and it was so soft and broken down that he sank down so low he was feeling board's on his back. Very much a terrible sleep. Breakfast NO orange juice..machine had apple juice and fruit punch and 2 water spouts. Hostess was nice. Left the hotel to get a coffee came right back and the key didn't work, we went to front desk told young lady the issue she asked what room and rescanned 1 key. She did not ask for any form of ID or proof our room. That unsecured feeling was the worst. For being owned by the AARP and being a member I expected way better. Rhonda English

It was a nice place, beds were comfortable and rooms were clean. Breakfast was good, wish there was a little more variety and not the same thing everyday, but it was good and did the trick. Stayed in the area for one night. Check-in was easy. I had picked this place because it had a pool with hottub however when we arrived we found that the hottub was covered with a decorative fake plant display to cover the broken hottub. The pool water was chilly, which if you were exercising it would feel great, but we were there to relax and have fun. So that was disappointing. The rest of the property was nice and fit our needs! The beds were super comfortable and made sleeping restorative! The hot breakfast also was not disappointing, the eggs weren’t soggy at all. Great variety of items to choose from. The coffee was good too! Overall, fix the hot tub and it’d be a perfect place to stay!
