This property was amazing! My friends and I went for 5 days for a birthday trip and it was a success from start to finish. The communication with the host was great the entire time. Rosa and the staff were so amazing, we loved them so much! They cooked every day for us and the food was great and they were beyond accommodating! Highly recommend this property!

A-Class facility but…..

Hacienda Tankah is absolutely beautiful. Our extended family of 10 loved the space, all the rooms were very comfortable, however, some of the small incidentals that should be looked after in an otherwise five star facility were not. when I mentioned that to management, they said they would look into correcting those situations and did immediately correct some.Also, the access road for approximately 2 km to the Hacienda is in horrible condition. You cannot go more than 10 km/h and sometimes much less to avoid the huge craters in the road.

Nice house but the location is remote and extremely difficult to get to it

The house is beautiful. The housekeepers who live at the property were very helpful. The same with the property manager. The big issue is the location of the house as it is very remote and it is almost impossible to get there with a regular car. We went there with our two sedans and one got a flat tire from the dirt roads where there is also a lot of construction. The house is just beau and I wish we a

Just needs care

We had a great time at Hacienda Tankha, however the listing is not always accurate. The Villa is beautiful and sits on a beautiful section of beach. Sitting on the pool deck looking out over the ocean is amazing. Midway through our stay the list of items that did not work was becoming very frustrating. I contacted the manager and many of those items started being addressed. The greater question is why not just maintain the property instead of trying to fix things in a panic. The beach was very trashy, none of the other properties up and down had this issue, mostly cleaned. Pool pump/filter stopped running, fixed. Dishwasher does not work, washer and dryer are outside at the housekeeping staff quarters. Ceiling fans did not have a remote, staff was able to turn them on after multiple requests. One burner on stovetop is inop, No A/C in common areas, it's a very big home, i'm not sure the common area's can be conditioned. No ice maker but I don't recall that in the listing. We realize this is a salt water environment so I expect those types of issues. The general maintenance problems are not a salt water issue. I gave the location 4 stars because it can be. The 1.5 mile road from the highway was in terrible condition, it is a 15 min. drive but hopefully that will be rectified, we assumed it was in poor condition from the storm 10 days earlier. Our Chef was fantastic so that kept our travels on the road to one or two per day.

Beautiful house on tranquil water

We all enjoyed our stay at this beautiful villa. The house is as gorgeous as the pictures. Tino (caretaker and chef) definitely makes this place a 5 star stay. I highly recommend hiring him to cook for you. His wife did an excellent refresher of our rooms everyday. They both made us feel at home and we hardly noticed them there. The place does look as good as it does in the pictures. We only had a few maintenance issues that I did point out to the property owner. The biggest issue was the smell of the kitchen cupboards. The salty, humid air makes it hard to control damp wood and the cabinets smell of mold. The location was great. We could swim right off our own beach or if you wanted calmer water it wasn’t a far walk around the corner for snorkeling. There are a couple good restaurants in walking distance. You can even walk to a local cenote and learn to dive or just snorkel. Overall a great place and worth the money once they fix the few maintenance problems.

Fantastic Stay - Recommended

Mario, and the entire Hacienda Tankah staff were incredible. Shout out to Victor, his family, Augustine the chef etc. Communication was easy and prompt. House was clean, beautiful and just as described. They helped arrange transportation, chef, grocery runs etc. Looking forward to staying again.

Beautiful, safe, dream home

A group of 12 friends gathered to celebrate birthdays and anniversaries. He house was breathtaking and located in a gated community on the beach. Every room was comfortable with its own on suite bath and air conditioning. The housekeeper and groundsman were a married couple who lived in a cabana on-site. They took care of all our needs including getting back up and lighting one night when the electricity went out. Mario, the property manager took care of all our pre arrival requests and greeted us onsite. He set up daily chefs who were incredible and a massage service who came to the house twice for massages and facials. The house is close enough to all the excursion areas we did but will have to arrange transportation. There are cans in the neighborhood but they were overpriced. Overall a great stay. Some of the people in out property are already considering booking for extended family
