"Our door would not lock from the outside. Yiu could just push it open without even touching the handle. We alerted the front desk who came and tried to lock the door. When we arrived back hours later after our hot air balloon trip that morning the door still pushed right open. It still wouldn't auto lock/shut and their answer to the problem was to put the Do Not Disturb placard on the handle with our personal items inside! It was a beautiful hotel otherwise. Clean, updated, big bathroom, nice outdoor fire pits."

"The wife and I wanted quick weekend getaway to spend some time reading and relaxing. The cactus pad is a cute little 2 person place with a location perfect for visiting old town or launching place to near by towns. You're in very easy walking distance to restaurants, merkin vinyard, tasting rooms, and shops while at the same time the setup gives you a sense of privacy too. . The outside sitting area is nice with a small firepit and comfortable seating. Think the only thing that surprised us at all is that the place did not have a TV which might matter to some. But that actually suited us just fine as we spent the weekend reading books, listening to music, and drinking wine. Ruth was very responsive to questions and the check-in/out process was very easy, Overall it was just what we were looking for and would happily stay here again next time we are needing a weekend away from the valley."
