"I guess after Labor Day they close the lounge and steakhouse. I was looking forward to the steakhouse. Very cool place, lots of history. Make sure to ask employees about it being haunted, fun to listen to! Unfortunately the only elevator was out for the weekend, hopefully they get that fixed soon. We’re looking forward to coming back when it’s not off season and enjoy the steakhouse and golfing."

"I think that the check-in process is improving, but there is a staff member who parks right in the front driveway in the area where guests would load and unload, which is inconvenient, and the check-in itself is still too slow. The front desk staff seen to not know the process and the computer well. The room was clean and the A/C worked well, but the policy of leaving off the refrigerator is very annoying. The power strip is hard to reach, and the fridge is always open and warm, so it takes a while to cool off after starting it. this is the only hotel where I have ever seen that, and it may save money, but it is very inconvenient for the guests."

Beautiful getaway on a private lake!

"This is a 5 star property!! We have rented here for five years in a row, and I suppose there is really no higher compliment than to keep coming back to the same place year after year. The host is easy to work with and very responsive. The property easily accommodates large groups with a kitchen on the main floor and also downstairs. The fishing is good. The swim area is great for getting in and out of the water or just playing in the shallows. The small pontoon boat with it's electric trolling motor is a real plus. I could go on and on, but to sum it up, every part of our rental experiences have been 100% positive."
